The First Descendant: How To Farm Mental Focus Modules

As a dedicated fan of The First Descendant, I can’t help but be in awe of the game’s intricate and expansive mechanics, particularly its Modules system. Among these, Mental Focus stands out as one of my favorites due to both its versatility and unique gameplay dynamics.

The First Descendant offers an abundant selection of special features or upgrades (Modules) for players to explore, making up one of the game’s richest and most intricate aspects. Players can discover a wide array of Modules tailored for their Descendants, as well as those that cater to individual characters. Additionally, there are Modules created exclusively for the weapons wielded by players.

Players can employ a variety of weapons with distinct ammunition types, but they can activate the Mental Focus ability solely on those particular weapons: General weapon categories consist of Machine Guns, Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, and Handguns. Special weapon classes comprise Beam Rifles and Tactical Rifles.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can tell you that there are plenty of opportunities to obtain those Modules in this game. However, I would strongly advise newcomers to first finish going through the game normally, as they might drop naturally during your regular playthrough.

As someone who’s spent countless hours immersed in the world of this game, I can tell you that the flexibility of different missions offering various ways to acquire Modules is a breath of fresh air. While the thrill of trying to get Modules to drop from enemies might be an option for some, I personally find great value in completing quick missions with desirable rewards.

Swamp Walker is where players can obtain the Special Rounds variation of this module. If players possess any Amorphous Material meant for those colossi, they might want to attempt getting it to fall during these special rounds.

What Does Mental Focus Do In The First Descendant?

Mental Focus might seem like it suffers a negative feature, but this so-called ‘negative’ actually helps the user out. This Module will lower the weapon’s fire rate and increase its damage by multiple stacks that are gained from firing the weapon.

As a gamer, I can tell you that using this weapon modification slowly but consistently can significantly boost my damage output. With each shot taking a bit longer to fire, I have more time to aim and land hits, racking up those precious damage stacks. Just be mindful that reloading will reset the stack progress. And let me add, if you’re in the market for a new weapon, give the Tamer Machine Gun a try. It’s an excellent companion to this fire rate Module, trust me on this!
