The First Descendant: How To Farm Pure Energy Residue

The First Descendant: How To Farm Pure Energy Residue

As a seasoned player of The First Descendant, I can confidently say that the hunt for Pure Energy Residue is as exhilarating as it is elusive! This rare crafting material becomes an essential key to unlocking some of the game’s most powerful Descendants like Ultimate Bunny, Yujin, or even Luna.

In the game The First Descendant, there are specific crafting resources that aren’t available through combat with monsters or completing missions. Although they may not be crucial in the beginning, their value significantly increases as you progress into the advanced stages. One such valuable resource is Pure Energy Residue.

To acquire high-level characters such as Ultimate Bunny, Yujin, or Luna in this game, you need a significant amount of Pure Energy Residue. Unlike Murky Energy Residue, which can be gained through completing missions, Pure Energy Residue must be farmed in a different way. Here’s how to get Pure Energy Residue in The First Descendant.

What Is Pure Energy Residue In The First Descendant?

The First Descendant: How To Farm Pure Energy Residue

In the game ‘The First Descendant’, Pure Energy Residue stands out as a crucial late-game crafting resource. Unlike other materials obtainable through monster battles or mission completion, this one is exclusively found inside Encrypted Boxes and Vaults, making it highly sought after. It’s indispensable for creating top-tier Descendants such as Ultimate Bunny, Yujin, and Luna, and it significantly contributes to the study of advanced components.

In advanced phases, it’s crucial to accumulate substantial quantities of Pure Energy Residue to access the most powerful Descendants. Here’s a summary of the research formulas that demand Pure Energy Residue:

Item Materials Needed
Afterglow Sword Synthetic Fiber 73 Flectorite, 139 Carbon Crystal, 10 Pure Energy Residue,1 Afterglow Sword Synthetic Fiber Blueprint
Ultimate Bunny Spiral Catalyst 1247 Carbon Crystal, 1023 Reverse Charging Coil, 89 Pure Energy Residue,1 Ultimate Bunny Spiral Catalyst Blueprint
Yujin Stabilizer 239 Compound Coating Material, 554 Carbon Crystal, 40 Pure Energy Residue, 1 Yujin Stabilizer Blueprint
Luna Enhanced Cells 430 Silicon, 554 Carbon Crystal, 40 Pure Energy Residue, 1 Luna Enhanced Cells Blueprint

Where To Farm Pure Energy Residue

In the game ‘The First Descendant’, Energy Remnants can exclusively be obtained by solving riddles at specific points of interest known as Encrypted Storage Containers and Encrypted Safety Deposit Boxes, which are hidden within the Fortress Region. However, locating these containers and deciphering their codes is not a simple task. They’re cleverly concealed, and without the Enzo Descendant, the process can be quite challenging.

If you don’t have Enzo, don’t worry, you can still farm Pure Energy Residue, but you’ll have to be careful and not mess up the encryption puzzle. Here are all the ways through which you can farm this residue:

  1. Encrypted Vaults (All Locations, Fortress): Encrypted Vaults are robotic figures that are hidden across every region in The First Descendant. But, only the encrypted vaults in the Fortress Region reward you with Pure Energy Residue for decoding them. You can get up to 15 Pure Energy Residues from the rarest encrypted vaults called Precision Encrypted Vaults. This is best done with Enzo because his passive can make this significantly easier to farm.
  2. Explosive Debris (Defense Line, Fortress): If you don’t have Enzo, or run out of code breakers, then another alternative way of farming Pure Energy Residue is by completing the Explosive Debris Mission. While this doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get the residue every time, it has the highest chance of dropping this material out of all missions in the Fortress Region.

In Fortress, each spot you respawn from Albion always contains at least one Encrypted Vault, which makes it an ideal farming ground for that residue. Yet, cracking open these vaults on a regular basis requires a substantial number of code breakers.
