The First Descendant: How to Upgrade the Ultimate Weapons

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in various shooter games, I can wholeheartedly say that the weapon-upgrading system in The First Descendant has left me both baffled and intrigued. It’s like being a blacksmith in medieval times, except instead of hammers and anvils, we have Precision Phase Exchangers and Liquid Metal!

In The First Descendant game, just like in any shooter game, weapons play an essential role. As players, or “descendants” as referred to within the game, battle against Vulgus, choosing the right weapon significantly impacts the outcome of the fight.

As you progress through the game, you’ll discover a variety of distinctive weapons, each with its own special qualities. Beyond the standard arsenal, the game boasts Ultimate Weapons that come with exclusive abilities. However, to fully harness their power, they need to be upgraded. In this article, we’ll guide you on how to enhance your Ultimate Weapons in the game The First Descendant.

In the game “The First Descendant”, the so-called Ultimate Weapons may seem extraordinary initially, yet they possess relatively low Damage Per Second (DPS) at their basic stages. To unleash their full potential and inflict substantial harm upon your adversaries, you must enhance them. Enhancing weapons in “The First Descendant” is more intricate than one might assume; however, I’ve put together a simplified guide to help you navigate the process effortlessly.

To level up an Ultimate Weapon, you need two things:

  • A high-tier weapon whose level can be transmitted to your Ultimate Weapon.
  • Precision Phase Exchanger

Getting A Phase Exchanger

In the game, a Phase Shifter is a unique item that immediately transfers the level of one weapon to another. The character Anais can assist you in creating this item, but it comes at a cost: a substantial amount of Liquid Metal.

In the world of TFD, Liquid Metal is a scarce resource. To obtain it swiftly, consider regularly taking apart weapons as this process frequently yields Liquid Metal. Tasks such as Void Intercept Battles are advantageous since they usually grant numerous new weapons that can be dismantled for Liquid Metal.

The Precision Phase Exchanger requires a total of 250 Liquid Metal for its construction, and it’s quite expensive in terms of gold. An alternate method to obtain Phase Exchangers is by progressing through the Battle Pass.

After gathering enough Phase Exchangers, feel free to proceed to the designated workshop either at Albion or any secure location marked on your map. From there, select the Weapon Level Transmission button and opt for the weapon you wish to enhance.

Afterward, choose a weapon you’re willing to strengthen by transferring its power to your Ultimate Weapon, then click on ‘Weapon Level Transfer’. Just so you know, the power can only be transferred from a powerful weapon to a weaker one, not vice versa.
