In a matter of days, the highly anticipated tournament series kicks off, drawing participants from across the globe who are heading to Denmark. The action-packed event will take place within the grandeur of the Royal Arena.

- Group Stage:
- September 4 – September 5, 2024
- Seeding Decider:
- September 6 – September 7, 2024
- Playoffs:
- September 8 – September 10, 2024

- September 13 – September 15, 2024
Format
At The International 2024, the competition structure will involve 16 teams taking part. Out of these, six teams will receive invitations and the remaining ten teams will qualify through regional competitions. Each event during this year’s tournament may have a slightly altered format compared to previous years. Here is a summary:
- Group Stage:
- Teams split into four groups (four teams each).
- All matches are best-of-two.
- The top teams from each group will choose to match with an opposing team from either 3rd or 4th place in the opposite groups.
- Seeding Decider:
- All 16 teams compete against each other, playing eight best-of-three matches to determine the main event bracket placement.
- Playoffs:
- All 16 teams play in a double-elimination bracket, with eight teams in the Upper bracket and the other eight in the Lower bracket.
- All games are best-of-three.
- Finals:
- Final two teams compete against each other. Games are best-of-five.
Prize Pool
At the International 2024, a grand total of $2,357,997 USD is up for grabs as prize money. This amount initially started at $1,600,000, but Valve also factored in an additional 25% of Compendium sales, contributing an extra $757,997 to the overall purse.
As of now, the actual prize pool breakdown has not been revealed.
