However, “The Last of Us” is a single-player game, so network features and cross-play wouldn’t be significant concerns. Therefore, the announcement of this requirement can seem peculiar. It appears to be a strategy to encourage users who don’t own a PlayStation to adopt Sony’s services, which makes sense from a business standpoint but is a daring decision considering past user reactions to similar moves.

Using the PlayStation Network (PSN) account for the first time is effortless since it’s free. However, adding or linking an additional profile can be somewhat troublesome for gamers eager to jump straight into their games.
