Within a few brief weeks, PC gamers will have the chance to immerse themselves in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered upon its release on April 3rd. Unlike a straightforward transfer of content, this port developed by Naughty Dog and Nixxes Software has new content planned for both the launch of the PC version and even the upcoming PS5 version.
The computer edition will encompass all the enhancements and fresh elements introduced in the PS5 version launched last year, such as the roguelike survival mode “No Return.” Additionally, it will offer some additional content for an even richer gaming experience.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered On PS5 Getting Patched On Day Of PC Version’s Release

As stated by Naughty Dog, the game “No Return” is set to introduce two new characters – Bill and Marlene – who were previously featured in “The Last of Us Part 1.
Bill adopts a “Black Market Dealer” persona, with the ability to retrieve a pump-action shotgun from hidden caches, and he earns twice as much loot from these finds. His strength lies in resisting close combat attacks, but he lacks the agility to perform evasive maneuvers.
Marlene exhibits a bold, daring playstyle characterized by using a personalized assault rifle, strategic “All-or-Nothing” moves, the ability to redirect her “No Return” route during each game session, and additional features.
That’s not all, there will be four new maps added to No Return mode, too!
- Overlook – Sett high above the city of Seattle and features plenty of verticality, is the memorable site of a Seraphites encounter in the campaign
- School – The abandoned elementary school in which Ellie and Dina face off against the W.L.F.
- Streets – Set in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
- Nest – Will be familiar to players who have played as Abby through an Infected-infested building.
As a proud PS5 owner, I’m thrilled to learn that we’ll be receiving “new Trophies and extra bug fixes” in our console! Naughty Dog didn’t specify the criteria for unlocking these new achievements, but it seems they might be linked to the fresh content arriving in No Return. Excited to see what awaits us!
You can anticipate that the PS5 update will coincide with the PC release, available for free download as the version 2.0.0 patch.
Besides the anticipated remastered PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 and PS5 upgrade, there’s more exciting news for fans! HBO’s second season of The Last of Us is set to debut on April 13, promising to build upon the exceptional foundations established by the first season.
Although Sony no longer insists on linking the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered to the PlayStation Network, Naughty Dog noted that gamers who register and log in with their PSN account will receive 50 in-game points to unlock bonus features, as well as a new Ellie skin inspired by Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
