Kaitlyn Dever delivered an exceptional portrayal of Abby, breathing life into a complex young adult character grappling with immense grief and seeking revenge. Her multidimensional personality is exactly what makes any TV character interesting.
Transforming a well-known game such as Until Dawn, or reimagining a cherished TV series or film is by no means an effortless task. Audiences tend to harbor strong feelings, and it’s unlikely that everyone will concur on every decision made. While some may criticize The Last of Us season 3, it’s still rewarding to see a series that encourages debate among viewers. However, the production deserves more recognition for taking creative risks rather than settling for an adaptation that doesn’t deviate at all from its source material – a misstep would be to produce a disappointing remake with no changes whatsoever. Making some narrative choices that viewers find objectionable is less detrimental than not attempting any innovative changes at all.
