The Legend of Zelda is Set to Dominate with 3 Big Releases

I’m a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda, and it’s amazing to see how much influence it’s had on gaming. It’s not just a classic series, it’s still shaping games today – you can really see its impact in titles like Crimson Desert, which clearly takes inspiration from Breath of the Wild.

Gamers are consistently devoted to the Zelda series, but new games aren’t released very often. Sometimes fans have to wait a long time between installments. Fortunately, Zelda fans have a lot to look forward to right now, with three major new releases planned for the next year and a half.

Zelda’s Second Big LEGO Partnership

The initial release in the Legend of Zelda LEGO series happened recently, just a few months ago. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Final Battle LEGO set perfectly captures a truly memorable boss fight. While it might not be as visually impressive as the LEGO Deku Tree set (which represents either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild), it does include minifigures of Link, Zelda, and Ganon – something the Deku Tree set lacks.

I built the LEGO Legend of Zelda set myself, and I was really impressed by the level of detail. Beast Ganon is surprisingly dynamic and looks great, thanks to some clever LEGO building techniques that really capture his appearance.

Honestly, one of my favorite parts of building this diorama was the trap door hinge at the base – it lets Gerudo Ganon burst up and reveal himself, which is just awesome! And as a huge Zelda fan, seeing those iconic scenes recreated with LEGOs is seriously magical and always puts a smile on my face. Putting the Master Sword and Hylian Shield in Link’s hands really made the whole thing feel like I was in the game.

The Legend of Zelda LEGO set is pleasantly priced, especially when you consider how expensive some other video game LEGO sets can be. While $130 isn’t cheap, it’s much more reasonable compared to the cost of some LEGO Pokémon sets.

A Classic Zelda Title Gets The Remake Treatment

Following the style of Ocarina of Time, there’s talk that the beloved Nintendo 64 game could be re-released this fall. Considered by many to be one of the greatest games ever made, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has long been a topic of discussion regarding a potential remake. While it’s been ported and remastered before, the idea of a fully updated version of this Nintendo classic has sparked a lot of debate.

There’s a rumor going around that Nintendo is planning to release a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as a major title for the Nintendo Switch 2 this fall. While details are scarce, the idea has a lot of fans buzzing. The rumor also suggests a new Star Fox game is in development, possibly to coincide with the character’s recent appearance in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

A remake of Ocarina of Time with updated graphics would undoubtedly be a huge success. However, the real debate is how much the game should be modernized. While we’ve seen impressive mockups of what a Zelda game could look like in Unreal Engine, I believe that significantly changing the original formula would diminish what makes Ocarina of Time so beloved.

Rumors of a remake of Ocarina of Time might be false. Some believe Nintendo is deliberately spreading incorrect information to discover the sources of their leaks. While Nintendo’s announcements are often spoiled beforehand, it remains to be seen if a remake of Ocarina of Time is actually in development.

Link’s Adventure Heads to the Big Screen

After years of speculation and April Fools’ pranks, a Legend of Zelda movie is officially happening! Nintendo is partnering with Sony Pictures for a live-action film, aiming for a release timeframe similar to the Mario movies. However, unlike the Mario adaptation, this Zelda movie will take a different approach to bringing the beloved franchise to life.

Aside from a few casting announcements, blurry set photos, and a possible glimpse of Link, we haven’t seen much of The Legend of Zelda movie. However, that’s likely to change soon. With summer movie season underway, we can expect trailers for next year’s films to start appearing. While it’s not confirmed, a first trailer for Zelda could be shown with Sony’s Spider-Man Brand New Day to maximize its visibility.

The upcoming Legend of Zelda movie is expected to be a major event for gamers in 2027, even though it’s currently in the early stages of production. While fans are eager to learn more about the plot and visual style, details will be revealed soon. Right now, all we can do is wait for more information.

Zelda fans have three exciting options right now: a game available now, another potentially releasing later this year, and a movie coming to theaters in April. These releases promise a lot for fans and are likely to be very successful for Nintendo.
