The Next ARC Raiders Player War Might Be Over Rubber Ducks

Okay, so things are getting a little heated in the ARC Raiders community! It all started with a question about the Rubber Duck – yeah, that little cosmetic trinket. I asked if we could maybe recycle it into rubber parts, since ‘rubber’ is in the name, and… wow, people lost it! Apparently suggesting anything happen to the Rubber Duck is considered total blasphemy. Seriously, it’s like this little duck has become a mascot, and nobody wants to see it changed in any way. It’s a bit much, honestly, but it’s kinda funny seeing everyone get so passionate over a tiny duck!

I’m totally obsessed with the Rubber Ducks in ARC Raiders! It’s crazy – one player actually collected over 4,200 of them, filling up their whole inventory! They’re pretty useless in the game, honestly – you can only sell them for a measly $1,000. But for some reason, they’ve become a huge symbol for our community. This player had so many ducks they asked the developers if they could display more than just the initial 12 in their Raider Den. Luckily, Embark listened, and a recent update now lets us scatter dozens of these little guys all over the floor of our Dens. It’s awesome!

Another ARC Raiders War Is Brewing

The community around the game ARC Raiders is fiercely protective of the Rubber Duck, so they weren’t happy when a player asked if it could be recycled into rubber components. In ARC Raiders, most items can be broken down and reused to create new gear or useful things – for instance, cloth can be recycled into fabric for bandages. It seems logical that the Rubber Duck could also be recycled into rubber, but other players quickly labeled the idea as unacceptable.

A recent post by a player named Velcr0Wallet has caused a stir within the ARC Raiders community, even prompting some to jokingly threaten a new conflict – this time over rubber ducks. The post sparked a wave of strong reactions, with players expressing disbelief and outrage. One commenter asked, “Why would you ever want to?”, while another defended the original poster, saying they seemed unreasonable. Some were genuinely horrified, but one player perfectly captured the sentiment by simply stating, “The Rubber Duck is the Rubber Duck.”

This strange idea is causing so much conflict, it feels like a new war is brewing in ARC Raiders. It would be a very uneven fight – essentially all the ARC Raiders players against one person trying to get rid of a Rubber Duck. However, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Soon after the game launched, streamers TheBurntPeanut and HutchFM accidentally started a weeks-long player war. It began when HutchFM was defeated by another player, who then shouted, “This is for the Bungulators!” – a nickname TheBurntPeanut had given to his fans.

A competition began, and both teams chose their preferred characters before starting the game. TheBurntPeanut and his teammates, known as the Bungulators, ultimately won.

While the initial hype around the game’s launch events was mixed, they did bring a lot of attention to Embark’s new shooter, ARC Raiders. However, popular Twitch streamers like Shroud are now expressing frustration with the game, particularly due to a significant problem with cheaters. Shroud, who once predicted ARC Raiders could become as popular as Fortnite, now says Embark needs to get the cheating issue under control quickly – within the next week or two – or risk losing players.
