This article contains spoilers from the One Piece series.
As the story of One Piece nears its end, Luffy is nearly finished assembling his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates. While several characters could potentially join as the final member – including Princess Vivi and Bonney – most fans believe Loki, the Prince of Elbaf, is the most likely candidate. He’s already been an important character in the story and is expected to play an even bigger role going forward.
Among all the potential crewmates, Loki stands out as a remarkably strong fighter, but his greatest value lies in his ability to forge an alliance between the Giants and Luffy. This unique connection will likely make Loki a key player in the Final Saga, and if he joins the Straw Hats, he could significantly boost their strength – exactly what they need to achieve their dream of becoming the rulers of the sea.
Loki is incredibly powerful, and if he were in the world of One Piece, he’d likely surpass even Luffy to become the most powerful of the Four Emperors (Yonko).
Loki Is Next In Line To Join The Straw Hat Pirates
Image by Viz Media It’s widely expected that Loki will be the next member to join the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece. The current storyline in the Elbaf arc is clearly building towards this, and crucially, Luffy has already invited Loki to become a member of his crew.
Luffy and Loki became fast friends when they met, which shows how good Luffy is at reading people. Once Luffy trusts someone, like he does with Loki, he doesn’t worry about what others might say about them.
Listen closely. I am the Sun God, a figure from this land’s ancient stories. You must not address me without my consent, mortal. I am the strongest being in these Lands, and this is Elbaf – the Kingdom of Violence, a nation built on warfare and once the most powerful in the world. I am Loki, and I have the power to destroy everything!
That’s exactly why I was so excited when he invited Loki to join the Sunny! Even though Loki turned him down initially, I still hold out hope – I really think we might see it happen eventually, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Loki actually has a good chance of becoming a Straw Hat Pirate, surprisingly. The entire country of Elbaf strongly dislikes him – he’s a prince nobody wants, even his own family thinks he’s cursed. Since almost everyone avoids him, except for Luffy, it makes sense that he’d join Luffy’s crew once he’s able to leave.
Adding to everything else, Loki actually revealed as a child that he admired the Sun God, the one prophesied to bring about the world’s end. He initially sought to join forces with Rocks because he mistakenly believed he was the Sun God, Nika. So, when Loki eventually learns that Luffy is actually Nika, it logically explains why he might choose to follow Luffy later on.
Loki Has Conqueror’s Haki And A Legendary Devil Fruit
Honestly, if Loki ever joined the Straw Hats, they’d be getting a seriously powerful ally! He’s easily one of the strongest fighters in the One Piece world, and what makes him really dangerous is his combination of incredible physical strength, top-tier Conqueror’s Haki, and a seriously potent Devil Fruit power. It’s a game-changer!
As a huge fan, I’m so hyped about Loki! He actually confirmed he can take down the seemingly immortal Holy Knights using Conqueror’s Haki – that’s a massive power-up! But it gets even better: we all know Loki devoured a legendary Devil Fruit the same day Harald passed away fourteen years ago, and that just makes him unbelievably strong. It’s incredible to think about how far he’s come!
Fourteen years ago, a fierce battle took place at Aurust Castle between King Harald and Loki. These scars are a reminder of that fight. While Loki was a powerful opponent, King Harald was a renowned warrior himself, and this level of destruction was sadly unavoidable. Only two people remained after the battle: Chief Jarul and Loki. — Rodo, recounting the Battle of Aurust Castle
Throughout his time sailing the seas, only Red-haired Shanks managed to beat Loki. Considering Loki is strong enough to be considered one of the Four Emperors (Yonko), if he joined Luffy’s crew, the Straw Hat Pirates would become the most powerful group on the ocean.
Loki Would Immediately Become The Strongest Yonko Commander In One Piece
It’s clear that if Loki joined the Straw Hat Pirates, he’d be an incredibly powerful leader – likely the strongest Yonko commander ever seen. His immense strength and the way the author portrays him suggest even the most powerful pirate crews would have to be cautious around him.
Loki also has a royal connection to the Giants, and if he could prove his good intentions, they’d readily support him. This means all the Giants of Elbaf could potentially join forces with the Sun God Nika – Luffy – giving him a massive army.
