The Outer Worlds 2 is launching on October 29th for Xbox Series, PC, and PlayStation 5. It’s the follow-up to the original game released by Obsidian in 2019, which many players playfully called ‘New Vegas in space’.

When Can You Preload The Outer Worlds 2?
You can now preload The Outer Worlds 2 on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox on PC. I’m checking to see if preloads are also available on PlayStation and PC through other stores.
XboxEra revealed when players can start downloading The Outer Worlds 2, and also shared the game’s file size. It’s a surprisingly large download, so be prepared!
The Outer Worlds 2 File Size Explained
The Outer Worlds 2 requires about 79.5 GB of storage on Xbox Series S and X, and 77.3 GB on PC. While the PlayStation 5 storage requirement hasn’t been officially announced, it’s likely similar to the Xbox versions.

The Outer Worlds 2 is a single-player role-playing game with an open world to explore, but its file size is surprisingly large – almost 80 GB on certain platforms. That’s a significant amount of storage space, particularly considering the game is expected to take around 30 to 40 hours to complete.
How to Preload The Outer Worlds 2
You can start downloading The Outer Worlds 2 before its release by preloading it through the Xbox Store on either your console or PC. We expect the process to be similar on PlayStation and other PC platforms such as Steam, though we haven’t confirmed this yet.
If you don’t subscribe to Game Pass, you’ll need to buy the game before you can play. But if you have Game Pass Ultimate, you can download The Outer Worlds 2 today!
