The Outer Worlds 2 Premium Edition Comes With A ‘Flaw’
You’ve probably already looked at the pre-order options for The Outer Worlds 2. The Premium Edition is the most comprehensive one, including future downloadable content, cosmetic items, a digital artbook, and the game’s soundtrack. However, it doesn’t clearly explain a potential downside, or ‘Flaw,’ that comes with it.
In The Outer Worlds 2, characters can have ‘Flaws’ – lasting traits that both hinder and help them. One of these, called ‘Consumerism,’ is automatically given to players who purchase the Premium Edition of the game.
According to the app’s description, you’re the driving force behind its marketing success. It playfully suggests you’re so accustomed to promotions and sales that you’re more focused on the latest purchases than on long-term financial planning.
Choosing this optional Flaw lowers vendor prices by 15% and increases the amount you get when selling items to vendors by 10%. The developers added it with a bit of self-awareness and humor, playfully acknowledging that players who purchased the most expensive version of the game are essentially being rewarded for supporting the game’s business model.
