The original The Sims games, specifically The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, have made their return. Electronic Arts (EA) has brought them back and re-released them for PC as part of a special collection called “The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.”
This version maintains the original games’ essence while updating them for modern systems, allowing players to relive their memories or experience these classic games for the first time. The bundle includes both titles, providing hours of fun-filled gameplay and endless creative possibilities.
According to recent updates, it’s official that EA will unveil the launch of both games this coming Friday, as earlier rumors had suggested.
EA is going back to the roots of The Sims series with the release of the 25th Birthday Bundle. They’ve listened to your requests and are excited to bring us back to the early days when they revolutionized the concept of playing with life.
You’ll find the games offered for sale in three distinct packs: The Sims 25th Anniversary Pack, The Sims: Heritage Set, and The Sims 2: Heritage Set.
What The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle Includes
Priced at $39.99, The Sims 25th Birthday Package comes with both games plus all available DLC. If you prefer to buy either game individually, The Sims: Legacy Set is priced at $19.99 and The Sims 2: Legacy Set costs $29.99.

Your Old Saves Work
If you’re currently playing The Sims 1 or 2, or if you have an old save file lying around, Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that players can transfer their old saves into the newly launched versions of the game. Additionally, both games will accommodate original mods, although EA cautions that not all mods have been tested to ensure they function properly.
“It’ll be up to individual Mod creators to ensure Mods work with the new version,” EA said.
