After its release, players requested a significant change, which was subsequently made. Now, gamers can easily turn ailments on or off at their convenience within their Sims’ save files to prevent them from contracting these ailments.

In order to stop illnesses from occurring in The Sims 4, players need to navigate to the Pause menu, pick Game Options, access the Pack Settings tab, and then deselect the option for Ailment Spread in the Enchanted by Nature section. This means that Sims will no longer contract diseases naturally or by coming into contact with infected Sims. Instead, they can only get a disease through receiving a curse from a fairy Sim or leading an extremely unbalanced lifestyle.
