Nintendo will be holding a special Direct presentation on November 12th all about The Super Mario Bros. Movie. They’ll be sharing new details about the film and releasing the very first trailer!
The Super Mario Bros. Movie was a huge hit when it was released in 2022, becoming the most successful movie ever based on a video game. Because of its success, a sequel – now called The Super Mario Galaxy Movie – was quickly approved, and a brief preview was shown during the recent Nintendo Direct presentation. Although details have been leaking online and people have been eagerly anticipating a full trailer, Nintendo appears to be preparing to officially reveal it very soon.

Nintendo has announced a livestream called “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct” on November 12th, 2025, at 6 am Pacific Time / 9 am Eastern Time. You can watch it on YouTube, Twitch, and the Nintendo Today! app. The presentation will focus on the upcoming Super Mario movie and include the first official trailer. While no new information about video games will be shared, we might learn about the cast and characters. The movie is scheduled to release on April 3rd, 2025.
Recently, details about the upcoming film surfaced in a surprising place: Pillsbury cookie boxes. The packaging featured Yoshi, who briefly appeared at the end of the first movie. His design was more lifelike than the video game version and looked great. The boxes also included Bowser Jr.’s logo, suggesting he’ll be appearing in the film. Given how successful The Super Mario Bros. Movie was, the new trailer for the sequel is expected to be very popular with fans and general audiences.
