These Are The Most Expensive Cards in Pokemon TCG’s Perfect Order

A new infographic highlights the most valuable cards from the recent “Perfect Order” expansion of the Pokemon Trading Card Game. As part of the celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary, several expansions have already been released, including the largest set ever – “Ascended Heroes,” which launched in January with an impressive 290 different cards. The Pokemon TCG followed this up with another new set in late March.

Although smaller than the Ascended Heroes set, the Perfect Order expansion still features several impressive cards that will appeal to players and collectors alike. It introduces Mega Zygarde ex, the latest addition to the rare Mega Hyper Rare category, and includes the set’s only golden foil card. Perfect Order also boasts full-art cards like Meowth ex and Poke Pad, which are predicted to become key competitive cards in the Pokemon Trading Card Game. Now, Pokemon fans are starting to see how expensive these new cards will be.

Pokemon TCG Chart Shows Perfect Order’s Priciest Cards

  1. Mega Zygarde ex (Mega Hyper Rare): $189
  2. Mega Zygarde ex (Special Illustration Rare): $135
  3. Meowth ex (Special Illustration Rare): $134
  4. Rosa’s Encouragement (Special Illustration Rare): $103
  5. Mega Starmie ex (Special Illustration Rare): $88
  6. Mega Clefable ex (Special Illustration Rare): $85
  7. Jacinthe (Special Illustration Rare): $35
  8. Clefairy (Special Illustration Rare): $30
  9. Meowth ex (Ultra Rare): $19
  10. Poke Pad (Ultra Rare): $18

A recent chart from the Pokemon-Switch Stock Twitter account shows the ten most valuable cards in Perfect Order. The most expensive is the Mega Hyper Rare Mega Zygarde ex, currently valued at $189. Zygarde’s Special Illustration Rare comes in second at $135. The Special Illustration Rare Meowth ex is third at $134, and Rosa’s Encouragement is the last card selling for over $100, at $103. Rounding out the top five are Mega Starmie’s Special Illustration Rare at $88 and Mega Clefable at $85.

As expected, the most valuable cards in the Perfect Order set are largely SIR (Special Illustration Rare) cards. The regular full-art Meowth ex is currently the most expensive Ultra Rare, selling for around $19, closely followed by the Poke Pad UR at $18. There’s a significant price difference between the 6th and 7th most expensive cards – about $50 separates Mega Clefable from the Special Illustration Rare Jacinthe. Only eight cards in the entire set are worth over $20. Interestingly, Mega Zygarde is the first Mega Hyper Rare card that didn’t initially sell for over $200.

Perfect Order has lower prices overall because it’s a smaller expansion. Unlike the large Ascended Heroes set, Perfect Order contains only 88 cards in its main set, with a total of 124 cards when including rarer chase cards. This makes it the smallest Pokémon TCG set since the 99-card Shrouded Fable released in August 2024. Perfect Order is also being released right before some major changes to the competitive Pokémon TCG format.

The competitive Pokemon TCG is about to change significantly with the annual format rotation. This means some older cards and decks will no longer be legal to use in tournaments. Specifically, all cards with the ‘G’ regulation mark – those from the Scarlet and Violet base set through Paradox Rift – will be removed from the Standard format. This change is expected to impact several strong decks, including the Gardevoir ex deck that won the 2025 World Championships and the widely played Gholdengo ex deck. Pokemon TCG players can expect a major shake-up to the competitive scene in the coming weeks.
