Following two weekends of the open beta, a great deal has been learned about Battlefield 6’s multiplayer, except for the absence of expansive maps to evaluate. Players were able to explore almost everything else. Yet, for those who are more intrigued by Battlefield 6’s campaign, there is merely one trailer available, with scant confirmed details.
As an enthusiastic supporter, I’ve got some exciting insights about the upcoming conflict shown in Battlefield 6 (BF6). The rumors suggest that the action will unfold between NATO and a private military company named Pax Armata starting from 2027. If you take a peek at the multiplayer maps for BF6, you’ll notice some intriguing battlefields such as Gibraltar, Cairo, Tajikistan, and New York.
However, we’re still in the dark about how the campaign will unfold, and there’s no clear sign yet of its quality. Keeping this uncertainty in mind, here’s a wishlist of features players can expect from the Battlefield 6 campaign.
1. Engaging and immersive storyline: A well-crafted narrative that keeps us hooked and emotionally invested in the outcome of the conflict.
2. Dynamic environments with destruction and weather effects: The freedom to adapt strategies based on ever-changing battlefields.
3. Varied gameplay modes: Options for solo, cooperative, and competitive play to cater to diverse player preferences.
4. Authentic military technology and tactics: Realistic weapons, vehicles, and equipment that reflect current and future military advancements.
Allowing players to create unique soldiers that match their preferred playstyle.
7. Rich multiplayer experience: Seamless integration of single-player and multiplayer modes, creating a more immersive Battlefield experience.
A Long Enough Campaign To Make A Single-Player Purchase Worth It
Replayability Would Also Be Great, With Different Choices & Ways To Beat Missions
One essential feature of Battlefield 6 lies in its campaign being substantially lengthy enough to entice single-player enthusiasts to make a purchase, given its visually striking graphics and more realistic atmosphere. The campaign of BF6 has the promising potential to rival the finest campaigns from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but if it falls short on length, its quality might not justify the investment.
Offering some degree of replay value could significantly enhance the experience for those particularly engaged with the campaign. For instance, the game might incorporate multiple endings, as seen in Battlefield 4, or permit missions to be accomplished through various approaches. However, it’s crucial to prioritize quality over quantity – ensuring that each element is polished and engaging before adding excess content.
One Full Campaign Rather Than Multiple War Stories
A Single Campaign Is More Cinematic

More contemporary Battlefield titles offer several standalone narratives titled ‘War Stories’. While these tales can be engaging individually, they sometimes lack the cohesive story arc, gradual development, and climactic resolution that often include unexpected twists and betrayals.
It would be nice if Battlefield 6 brings back its classic approach, focusing on one grand narrative for the campaign. While it’s fun to switch between different characters, their individual stories should interconnect somehow. A unified campaign could also heighten player engagement in the fictional conflict between NATO and Pax Armata.
A Playable Medic Character, Or At Least One Medic Mission
A New Way To Play The Campaign

Engaging in the medic role within multiplayer Battlefield games has consistently been enjoyable, yet it could be significantly enhanced within a story-driven mode. Particularly intriguing would be scenarios where players must decide which characters to rescue. Fortunately, the mechanics for medic play already exist, such as the recent addition of the capability to pull teammates to safety.
One character in the story could be a medic, or maybe the team could include a medic. However, sadly, this medic character might meet an untimely end. In such a scenario, the player would assume their duties, which involve saving lives rather than taking them. This shift in focus from killing to healing would bring a new twist to the usual shooter gameplay, making it more life-affirming and less violent.
Memorable Characters To Care About
Hopefully, With Some Iconic Quotes Too

In the upcoming game, Battlefield 6, the visuals and immersion are expected to be impressive. However, to make it truly engaging, the story could benefit from relatable human characters that players can empathize with and care about deeply. These characters should exhibit a mix of courage, imperfections, and black humor. Players should find themselves worrying about these characters’ fates.
Characters’ dialogues may ideally contain witty lines and memorable phrases that could earn them iconic status in the gaming world, much like Captain Price’s quotes from the Call of Duty series. An intriguing villain with a non-one-dimensional character arc will significantly contribute to an engaging storyline.
A God-Tier Stealth Mission
All The Best FPS Campaigns Have One Legendary Stealth Mission

In a more conversational style: Instead of focusing solely on stealth or spec-ops elements for Battlefield 6, given that the series is renowned for its large-scale war portrayals, it’s crucial to maintain an extraordinary stealth mission within the game. Some of the most memorable first-person shooter campaigns feature such moments-like creeping through tall grass in camouflage suits or simultaneously eliminating targets with suppressed sniper rifles in snowy landscapes.
Based on the trailer, it appears that one mission may involve the use of night vision equipment, suggesting that elements of covert operations or stealth are likely to feature in the scenario.
Show The True Horrors Of War
Tough Choices Should Be Made

In order for Battlefield 6 to stand among the top-tier war game campaigns, it’s crucial that it doesn’t avoid portraying the authenticity and grimness of war. This approach is often necessary in games and films to serve as a stark reminder of the human toll war exacts. By featuring war crimes and difficult choices, the narrative can become more authentic and immersive, with unexpected events adding to its realism.
Although the demolition of iconic bridges, landmarks, and houses is unavoidable, merely displaying material damage in the trailer isn’t sufficient. The campaign must emphasize the danger to both civilian and military lives to engage players emotionally. If the campaign boils down to a mere demonstration of how impressive Battlefield 6’s destruction physics are, it risks being easily forgotten.
