I, David Harbour, am currently generating buzz for my forthcoming Marvel Studios film, the excitingly titled “Thunderbolts.” However, speculation has already begun to shift towards my upcoming venture, “Avengers: Doomsday.” This project will carry on my journey within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, offering a unique opportunity for the Thunderbolts team to engage with an array of fresh and familiar faces from the franchise.
For the performers, this offers a chance to collaborate on set with former companions or potentially encounter new faces in the profession. This scenario applies to Harbour, however, there’s one member of the Avengers: Doomsday team he is well acquainted with, as they have a history of being adversaries.
Harbor has collaborated with several major Hollywood figures, including his work on “Stranger Things” and his current projects with Marvel. Interestingly, Harbor already knew Pedro Pascal prior to their entry into the industry, which led to a friendly competition between them, as he detailed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
He mentioned that he has known Pedro Pascal since he was seventeen, as they both attended Northwestern University. They shared a role in the same play, with Pedro securing the main part. Even back then, Pedro exhibited exceptional talent. He’s harbored resentment towards him for three decades.
In the upcoming film “Avengers: Doomsday“, Pascal will portray Reed Richards, while a revamped Fantastic Four team takes center stage. The storyline remains unclear if they’ll encounter the Thunderbolts*, but it appears that multiple teams, including the Avengers and X-Men, are gearing up to thwart Doctor Doom from carrying out his mysterious objectives within the movie.
It seems that fans are expecting to see both Pascal and Harbour in “Avengers: Doomsday,” given their names appeared on the cast list unveiled by Marvel Studios. Yet, conflicting reports suggest that the script for “Avengers: Doomsday” remains unfinished due to the fact that none of the actors involved have officially signed on yet. This uncertainty is causing complications with the script as it can’t be finalized without knowing who will play key roles in the story. But, now that Harbour and Pascal’s rivalry has been disclosed, there’s a chance for the writers to create an exciting scene featuring them.
Filming for Avengers: Doomsday has commenced, as evidenced by a picture from the set shared by the Russo Brothers this week. The image indicates that Victor Von Doom’s chair is present, suggesting Robert Downey Jr.’s involvement in the production. Unfortunately, David Harbour hasn’t started filming yet because he’s busy promoting Thunderbolts. Meanwhile, Pascal is gearing up to start shooting Fantastic Four: The First Steps, Marvel’s upcoming release. After that, both actors will have an opportunity to collaborate once again in the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, where they can create something extraordinary together.
