Mega Starmie is a surprisingly powerful Mega Evolution in *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*, despite its design being quite similar to the original Starmie. The Best New Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution is Already Clear

Mega Starmie in *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* has a much higher base stat total – 660 compared to the original’s 520 – because it usually possesses the Huge Power Ability. Since *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* removed Abilities, the developers gave all Pokemon that previously had Huge Power a +40 boost to their Attack stat instead. The one type they consistently struggle against is Ghost.

Mega Starmie is currently the strongest Mega Evolution in the game. It’s easy to obtain, boasts excellent moves and coverage, has incredibly high stats, and recovers from moves quickly. While future updates, like those planned for *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* with Mega Zygarde, might eventually surpass it, it’s likely to remain dominant for quite some time.

Mega Starmie is incredibly powerful, boasting exceptional Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, along with a diverse range of moves it can learn. Its main weaknesses are relatively low HP and a limited number of moves it can equip – only four. This means carefully selecting the right moves is essential to maximize its potential.
