As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing virtual landscapes, I must say that Throne and Liberty has truly outdone itself with its innovative questing system. The Exploration Codexes are a breath of fresh air, offering an engaging and rewarding experience for players at every level.

“Throne and Liberty” is the latest free-to-play MMORPG, offering a vast open world for players to delve into at their leisure. To ensure exploration feels smooth and engaging, “Throne and Liberty” innovates the conventional questing system by automatically assigning players Exploration Missions as they venture into fresh territories, rewarding them instantly upon accomplishing the assigned tasks.

Adventure Guides, or Exploration Codexes, are packed with various perks, ranging from the standard experience, money, and equipment rewards, to unique aesthetic items such as Morphs – transformative shapes that allow characters to take on different forms. One of these Exploration Codexes, titled “A Sailor’s Letter,” is often overlooked by players early in their adventure, but offers a rare opportunity to claim not one, but two Morphs with minimal effort! Keep reading to discover how to locate this quest and obtain the and morphs for yourself!

How to Complete A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex

Upon entering the Windmill Shores level (level 4-7), a new task titled “A Sailor’s Letter” appears on your objectives list. This mission initiates by requiring you to locate a letter in a bottle near the Cursed Scar landmark, which is southeast of the area’s marker. The ground objective might be tricky to spot, but you can make the game highlight the bottle by clicking the star icon beside the quest description and marking it as a favorite.

In simpler terms, after the quest guide sends players towards Kastleton Port to catch a boat, they can save time by swimming directly to an island located off the southeast coast instead. Regardless of their choice, the objective of the quest will alter once they arrive on the island, where they’ll discover a new letter at its summit. To efficiently reach the top, players should look for a rocky path on the eastern side of the island that offers convenient climbing points and pitons suitable for use with their grappling hook. Reading the letter found on the island’s peak will earn them the Russet Lutrang morph as a reward.

For those focused solely on the Russet Lutrang, feel free to bypass the other tasks in the quest. Yet, since just one task is left uncompleted, it’s advisable to wrap up this final, swift objective to earn a complimentary shapeshifting transformation as a reward.

The last part of the adventure guides players towards a tiny island floating in the ocean, just a quick swim from the letter. Swimming there by hand will take players to a sunken pirate chest filled with treasure, finishing “A Sailor’s Letter” and granting players the Chestacean transformation.

A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex Rewards

Finishing “A Sailor’s Letter” mission grants players two transformations: the aquatic shape, the Russet Lutrang, and the special transformation, the Chestacean. The Russet Lutrang is obtained when you discover the letter at the island’s summit, whereas the Chestacean can be acquired by completing the entire mission and opening the chest of the shipwrecked treasure. If players are only keen on the aquatic form, they may disregard the rest of the quest once they read the letter. However, since the remaining task is straightforward to accomplish, it’s suggested to swim to the island to get an additional shapeshifting transformation for free without much extra effort.
