As a seasoned Throne and Liberty player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the Codex entries are one of the game’s most intriguing aspects. The quest “Meeting a Friend in the Field” is no exception, offering a delightful detour from the main storyline and immersing players even deeper into the rich lore of Solisium.
In the game Throne and Liberty, there are numerous Codex entries that players can devote a significant chunk of their gaming time to. These side quests not only reward generously but also contribute significantly to the game’s world-building, allowing players to delve deeply into the vast world of Solisium. This is one reason why these quests have garnered such popularity within the gaming community, as they offer engaging content that keeps players hooked even after the main story concludes. One such Codex entry is titled Meeting a Friend in the Field, and it can be quite extensive.
In the game, players can access the ‘Urstella Fields’ region on the map where they’ll meet their friend. This area becomes accessible upon finishing a Codex entry titled ‘Ashien’s Strange Painting’, found under Adventure. After completion, look for this quest in the Exploration tab and get ready to take it on.
How To Complete Meeting A Friend In The Field
Over the course of Meeting a Friend in the Field, there will be six objectives to complete:
- Find the Powerless Little Doll in the Wrecked Carriage
- Talk to Ashien at Starlight Observatory Ruins
- Defeat the monsters on one of the floors between 1-10F in Taedal’s Tower
- Talk to Ashien at Starlight Observatory Ruins
- Talk to the Inn Owner at Kastleton Kastleton Inn
- Talk to Tailor Noan in the guest room at Kastleton Kastleton Inn 2F, and awaken the Powerless Little Doll
it’s pretty straightforward to follow
and won’t offer too much trouble.
Find The Powerless Little Doll
Adventurers can make their way to the derelict carriage, located to the west of the Starlight Ruins Observatory. It’s near where combat with goblins takes place during the primary questline.
At that location, they’ll find a wrecked carriage along with a doll nearby. All players need to do is engage with it, and this action will set off the next task.
Talk To Ashien At Starlight Observatory Ruins
Players should make their way to the peak of the Starlight Observatory Ruins casually. Once there, they can interact with Ashien. During this conversation, players will be prompted to inquire about Amitol.
This will prompt the next step to begin.
Defeat The Monsters In Taedal’s Tower & Return To Ashien
This segment, it seems, might be the longest and most challenging aspect of our journey, yet it shouldn’t prove overly demanding.
Players will be able to enter the tower by simply interacting with Ashien’s painting located nearby. They are free to select any of the floors from 1 to 10 to conquer, and completing that floor is all that’s needed. If players aim to wrap this up quickly, it would be best to start with the first floor.
In this encounter, players find themselves battling against a colossal orc, whose powerful moves can be quite formidable. However, the fight itself is relatively simple. The key point to remember is to dodge his massive swings, as they have the potential to momentarily stun you.
Other than that, using Skills and staying on the move will make quick work of this monster.
After wrapping up this task, feel free to chat with Ashien once more regarding the events depicted in her artwork. She’ll then suggest that you have a conversation with a tailor.
She mentions speaking with people in Kastleton to help find one.
Talk To The Inn Owner In Kastleton Inn
It’s recommended that players make a visit to the Kastleton Inn, located on the north side of the square (specifically where the Waystone stands). They can easily teleport there and then step inside for a chat with the owner.
To engage in conversation with the Inn Owner, players must first finish the tale titled “The Ghostly Yarn of Kastleton Inn“.
Speaking with the owner causes her to point players to Room 202, where a young tailor is staying.
Speak With Tailor Noan In Kastleton Inn
The final step of the quest has players go into Room 202 and speak with Noan, the young tailor who can be found sitting in a rocking chair inside. Asking him about Amitois will prompt him to fix the one found by the carriage.
After it’s been mended, I just have to touch it gently while it lies there on the ground, then I can grab it. Doing so concludes the quest for me.
