Craving a trip down memory lane? Enjoy some Dunkaroos and relive the magic of classic Disney Afternoon cartoons, now available on Nintendo Switch!
In 2017, Capcom published the Disney Afternoon Collection, a compilation of six classic NES games originally created by Digital Eclipse. These games were based on popular Disney cartoons from the 80s and 90s, including Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, two Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers titles, and two DuckTales games. After nine years, this collection is now potentially coming to the Nintendo Switch.
A New ESRB Rating Has Surfaced
Atari, the company that now owns Digital Eclipse, has received an ESRB rating for its game collection on Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. As expected, any Disney game usually gets an ‘E for Everyone’ rating, and you can find the complete rating details below.
The Disney Afternoon Collection is rated E for Everyone, meaning it’s suitable for all ages, but includes some mild fantasy violence and the depiction of tobacco use. This collection features classic action platformer games from Disney favorites. Gameplay involves characters briefly stunning or shooting enemies, and throwing objects at them. Some games include challenging boss battles and modes where you fight bosses repeatedly. Notably, one boss character is shown holding a cigar.
We don’t have a release date for the classic NES game collection on Nintendo Switch yet. But if you’re eager to play these games now, they’re currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
TopMob will continue to follow the story and report any updates.
