Once more, it’s time for the Thunderpick World Championship – the annual Counter-Strike 2 tournament that just keeps growing! This year, the prize pool has swelled to an impressive $1 million, making it the largest single prize ever given by a sportsbook in a competitive setting. The lineup of teams is now set, with Thunderpick announcing the invited squads who will join those that qualified through various events held since April 2024.

The first Thunderpick World Championship happened last year, offering a prize pool of $600,000, with most of it being won by the team known as FaZe Clan.

The announcement has just been made, revealing which teams have been extended invitations to participate in the final rounds.
