Tides of Tomorrow will now be released in April 2026, a little over a month after its originally planned launch.
Digixart and THQ Nordic announced their new game in June 2025 during a PlayStation presentation, highlighting its innovative multiplayer features. Originally scheduled for February 2026, the release date has been moved to April based on player feedback from a demo. You can find more information below.
Tides of Tomorrow Gets a New Release Date
The creators of the game Tides of Tomorrow have announced it will now launch on April 22, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. They briefly thought about changing the game’s name, but ultimately decided against it. The release date has been pushed back so the team can incorporate feedback from players who tried the demo.
So, the developers of Tides of Tomorrow decided to push back the release date. Apparently, they’ve been listening to all the feedback from the demo and beta – which is awesome! They said they need the extra time to really polish things up and make sure the story-driven adventure is the best it can be. Basically, they’re taking our suggestions and making the game even better, and I’m totally okay with waiting a bit longer for that!
Before the full game releases, players can try a 40-minute demo on Steam that lets them explore the beginning of the story. Because the game focuses on narrative and choices, you can play the demo multiple times to discover new things and see how different decisions affect the outcome. The game also has a special multiplayer mode where you can follow a friend or streamer, and the game will create a unique experience based on both of your choices.
Here’s a quick update: Xbox Cloud Gaming is planning to launch a cheaper, ad-supported version in 2026. Also, there are reports of an explosion at the studio developing GTA 6, Rockstar North.
