A development build for Titan Quest 2 has been leaked online.
Initially discovered by GameGPU, this build is a preliminary version of the game dating back to early November, named Beta 3.1. Unlike previous builds, it lacks multiplayer capabilities and was primarily used for in-house testing of various gameplay elements. It’s important to note that this isn’t the finished version of the game; players should anticipate differences between the current demo and the final product.
As a patient gamer, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the sequel to Titan Quest, which first graced our screens back in 2006. After two decades, it seems we’re finally getting another installment in this beloved series. The creators have reassured us that unlike some games, this mythology-themed action RPG won’t resort to pay-to-win tactics or loot boxes, ensuring a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for all of us who can’t wait to embark on this epic journey once more.
Grimlore Games declared emphatically that they have a strong dislike for this concept, ensuring players that there will absolutely be no mechanism for in-game purchases. This means that no player will be able to gain an advantage by spending money on gameplay-related items within the game.
In terms of their planned early access launch, they mentioned their desire for gamers to join from the outset, aiming for the game to “establish its own identity” independently.
They stated that Titan Quest 2 should establish itself uniquely within the Action Role-Playing Game (ARPG) genre, and they believe the key to achieving this is by employing swarm intelligence.
Titan Quest 2 is slated for a release some time in the year 2025. It will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. A specific launch date hasn’t been disclosed as of now.
