TMNT Splintered Fate DLC Announced With Roadmap, Physical Release Possibly Under Way

As a longtime Turtles enthusiast who has witnessed the evolution of our favorite ninja reptiles since the 80s cartoon era, I can hardly contain my excitement at the latest announcement from Super Evil Megacorp! The TMNT Splintered Fate DLC promises new environments, narrative, enemies, playable characters, and more – all elements that will surely bring fresh life to this beloved franchise.

Today on X’s latest update, Super Evil Megacorp unveiled their future plans for the TMNT Splintered Fate DLC expansion, as well as a timeline for the release of new content through 2024 and 2025.

Developers have shared exciting news: Fans can anticipate the introduction of “novel settings, storyline, adversaries, playable characters, and additional features.” Moreover, they’ve mentioned that online multiplayer functionality is included in both their Steam and Epic Games Store PC versions.

Based on today’s plan, the upcoming expansion for TMNT Splintered Fate, titled “TMNT Splintered Fate DLC,” will introduce new challenges, competitive leaderboards, and captivating original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) stories.

The blueprint hints at potential console enlargements as well, but it doesn’t give a definite answer about the specific platforms or launch dates.

Later on, Super Evil Megacorp expressed gratitude towards their players for enjoying the game and providing valuable feedback, while hinting at a possible future release of a physical version.

The developers have verified that they are actively working on fulfilling your request for a physical release. Although they didn’t provide specific details, they assured fans that things are buzzing behind the scenes.

In the Indie World Showcase held by Nintendo in April 2024, Super Evil Megacorp initially unveiled TMNT Splintered Fate. Right before its July launch, they also confirmed that local multiplayer (couch co-op) would be included.

This week, Nintendo has revealed plans for another Indie World Showcase, which will be streamed later on today. Additionally, there’ll be a simultaneous Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, lasting approximately 40 minutes in total.
