While Seinen manga might not be the most widely recognized category, there’s no denying that some truly exceptional stories fall under this label. Over time, Seinen has demonstrated its immense potential. Unfortunately, we are witnessing the end of an era within this demographic as one of its largest series has recently concluded.
Seinen Manga Are Huge
Some Big Ongoing Series Include Berserk, The Apothecary Diaries, and Vagabond
Currently, shonen manga is the most widely recognized category globally. However, numerous seinen manga series have managed to gain widespread recognition, becoming familiar names within households.
Young men’s manga series, often referred to as Seinen, delve into deeper, sometimes darker subjects compared to the Shonen genre. While many enthusiasts initially appreciate Shonen, they often find themselves drawn to the complex and mature themes in Seinen series over time.
As a keen observer of the vibrant world of anime, particularly the adult-oriented genre known as Seinen, I’ve noticed that Berserk is undoubtedly a well-known staple among fans. However, amidst the hype, The Apothecary Diaries, currently a massive hit within this category, seems to be less recognized for its Seinen classification, despite fitting squarely into it.
Without a doubt, numerous exceptional Seinen series continue to unfold, but today brings a profound sense of sorrow for enthusiasts of Seinen narratives, as one of the most iconic manga, Vinland Saga, has concluded its run.
Vinland Saga, One Of The Biggest Seinen Manga Just Ended
Vinland Saga Ends With Chapter 220
Vinland Saga is currently one of the highly acclaimed Seinen comic book series. In recent years, it could be argued that this series is perhaps the most beloved Seinen title. This captivating narrative, created by Makoto Yukimura, has gained international recognition and amassed an enormous following due to its exceptional plotline and characters.
Regrettably, followers of Vinland Saga have now reached the conclusion of Thorfinn’s tale. On July 25, 2025, the last chapter, numbered 220, was published and brought a permanent end to the series’ storyline.
Vinland Saga continued serialization for a whole 20 years after it began all the way back in 2005.
I can’t help but feel that Yukimura’s series is destined to be among the most revered Seinen series ever, and it might even rank among the greatest manga of all time.
Today marks the release of the last installment of Vinland Saga, specifically Chapter 220. I truly appreciate your dedication and patience in following this story with me over such an extended period.
Makoto Yukimura, the mastermind behind Vinland Saga, brings Thorfinn’s epic journey to its conclusion. My intention was to illustrate a child’s transformation into an adult through diverse life experiences. I can’t help but ponder if I effectively conveyed this evolution in my storytelling.
Although the manga adaptation of Vinland Saga has concluded, enthusiasts can eagerly anticipate the upcoming anime installments. So far, just two seasons have been released, leaving several more years for the narrative to unfold in this medium.
Where to Watch and Read Vinland Saga?

If you’re a fan of manga, you can find this series on K-Manga, which is the official manga platform provided by Kodansha.
