As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped to share some exciting news: I recently read in Variety that the Tomb Raider series starring Lara Croft will conclude with its second season. Mark your calendars for December 11th, 2025, as that’s when it’ll be dropping on Netflix! Although we don’t have a trailer yet, Variety has shared an official logline to wet our appetites. Can’t wait to see what adventures await Lara in her final chapter!
In this story, Lara Croft, voiced by Hayley Atwell, stumbles upon a string of missing African Orisha masks. She teams up with her close companion Sam (Karen Fukuhara) to recover these valuable artifacts. Lara’s latest escapade leads her across continents as she delves further into the concealed past of Orisha lore, all while evading the schemes of a wealthy and mysterious individual who covets the masks. As Lara uncovers their hidden mysteries, she discovers that these artifacts harbor secrets beyond comprehension, even hinting at powers that could be divine.
Joining an illustrious cast headlined by MCU’s Hayley Atwell is The Boys’ actress, Karen Fukuhara. She will take on the role of Sam, a character who reappears from the 2013 version of Tomb Raider. Similar to Camilla Luddington and Hayley Atwell, Karen is stepping into the shoes previously filled by K-Pop: Demon Hunters’ Arden Cho, who initially played Sam in the original production.
