Top 10 Things GTA 6 Should Bring Back

Top 10 Things GTA 6 Should Bring Back

As a gamer who has been following the Grand Theft Auto series since its humble beginnings, I can confidently say that GTA 6 is long overdue and has a lot to live up to. After all, it’s been more than a decade since we last had a proper installment, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.

In gaming circles, there’s much anticipation for GTA 6, which is poised to make history as the largest release yet. It has been over a decade since GTA 5 graced store shelves worldwide, and fans of this iconic series are eagerly waiting for another installment. Given its reputation, it’s reasonable to expect that GTA 6 will be the most daring game ever produced. Here’s a list of my top 10 suggestions for features that should return in GTA 6.

Some of the best features from past GTA games have long since been phased out, but many of these mechanics simply must be in Grand Theft Auto 6.

Here’s the list.

10 Things GTA 6 Should Revive

1. Euphoria

The intense joy brought by Euphoria significantly enhanced the realism of GTA 4, particularly in the way NPCs responded to gunfire and how vehicles felt heavier when driven. Unfortunately, this aspect seemed absent in GTA 5. Therefore, it would be great if GTA 6 could improve on the physics to make it more realistic.

2. Character Customisation

In the game San Andreas, players had an exceptional degree of customization over the main character, Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson, compared to any other game. They could modify his hairstyle, tattoos, wardrobe, musculature, and even how others perceived and respected him in the street. We yearn for that level of personalization once more.

3. Get a Job

Indeed, while not exactly acquiring a job in the traditional sense, players had the opportunity to adopt roles such as firefighter, paramedic, or even police officer in earlier versions of Grand Theft Auto. This feature offered bonus unlocks and served as a fun way to pass time. It would be delightful to witness a return of such content in GTA 6.

4. Turf War

In Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, igniting a territorial feud among gangs to claim territory was always an enjoyable experience. With sufficient dedication, a player could capture the majority of the in-game map – after which, they’d need to defend their claimed areas. I’m unsure if GTA 6 will offer something similar, but I’d gladly accept any new feature that provides advantages.

5. Expansions

In contrast to GTA 4’s expansions The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony, and Red Dead Redemption’s Undead Nightmare, GTA 5 didn’t receive any additional content post-launch. One aspect that has left fans of GTA 5 puzzled is the lack of post-release content. A desirable feature for many would be the inclusion of more content in GTA 6 following its launch.

6. Property

In Grand Theft Auto Online, players have the option to acquire a variety of real estate, including businesses. I strongly believe that this mechanic should be one of the key features in GTA 6. It would be fantastic if we could not only invest in businesses as we did in GTA 5, but also purchase luxury penthouses, apartments, and garages like in GTA Online, and customize them to our liking. In the world of San Andreas, players were even able to own numerous properties.

7. Crime

It may appear odd, but I’m excited to witness a wider variety of criminal actions in GTA 6. Since I’ll be portraying both the villain and the villainess, I’d appreciate the opportunity to engage in a range of illegal activities. From burglarizing houses, carjacking, armed robbery, stealing valuables, to even smaller crimes like graffiti tagging – perhaps they could reintroduce that feature on the map?

8. Fun with Friends

Let’s return to bowling lanes, nightclubs, and romantic outings with our crushes, let’s also visit comedy clubs for some live entertainment. In GTA 4, we had the freedom to do all this and much more, which made Liberty City seem vibrant, even though the game was quite dark and rough around the edges. It even had Ricky Gervais performing stand-up.

9. Duke it Out

In Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, the game allowed players to master various martial arts techniques across gyms scattered throughout the map. In contrast, Grand Theft Auto 4’s protagonist had military background, making his fighting skills exceptional, yet hand-to-hand combat felt rewarding, heavy, and occasionally tough. Let’s bring that back in GTA 6, enhancing the gameplay by offering authentic hand-to-hand combat abilities that can be improved over time.

10. Bizarre Cheats

While GTA 6 might not necessarily require this, there’s a feature many gamers eagerly anticipate – the inclusion of amusing cheat codes, similar to what San Andreas offered. Even though mods have taken over as an alternative in modern gaming, these quirky cheat codes still bring a unique charm.
