As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that July 2024 was a golden era for video games. The top 20 best-selling games of the month were nothing short of spectacular, boasting an impressive mix of old favorites and fresh newcomers.

July proved to be an extraordinary period for the video game industry, as a total of 20 games dominated the sales charts throughout the dynamic month. The latest statistics have been released, highlighting the top 20 most successful games sold in July. Notably, well-established series such as Call of Duty, UFC, and Tekken graced this list, but it was not just the heavyweights that made an appearance – unexpected titles also claimed their spots. Interestingly, Nintendo found a place on the list more than once.

2024 has been an amazing summer for gamers like me, as we’ve been treated to updates on some truly exciting projects in the video game industry. Just recently, I got a sneak peek at Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the latest installment in Activision’s long-running first-person shooter series. Additionally, MachineGames and Bethesda unveiled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, another highly anticipated title. With both games set to hit the market later this year, they’re bound to make a big impact. However, even before these releases, summer 2024 has been packed with great titles. In fact, a newly released list ranks July as one of the top months for gaming, with the top 20 games of the month being quite a treat!

As a gaming enthusiast, I’d say the remainder of the rankings probably won’t offer any unexpected titles. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to claim the tenth spot. EA Sports FC 24 snags ninth place, followed closely by MLB: The Show 24, Hogwarts Legacy, and Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition. Minecraft holds strong at fifth place, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 takes fourth. Without a doubt, Elden Ring has been the most influential game this year, especially with its expansive expansion released earlier in the summer, ruling the video game realm for much of it.

20th place on our list goes to the acclaimed game, “Ghost of Tsushima,” known for its stunning visuals and combat mechanics. The racing game “The Crew: Motorfest” claims the 19th spot, followed closely by “Rainbow Six: Siege,” “UFC 5,” and the pirate-themed adventure “Sea of Thieves,” a favorite on Microsoft platforms. At number 15, we have “Luigi’s Mansion 2,” which has recently been made available on the Nintendo Switch. Joining the top 15 are “Tekken 8,” “Helldivers 2,” “Mario Kart 8,” and “Mortal Kombat 1.”
