Summary
- Royalty in Final Fantasy aren’t just figureheads; they can be powerful allies or foes in the game’s storyline.
- Queens in the series showcase immense strength, leading rebellions, wielding magic, or even transforming into dragons.
- Characters like Princess Hilda, Sheila, and Garnet go beyond traditional roles to become strong, impactful queens in the game.
In many installments of Final Fantasy, players encounter monarchs like kings and queens during their journey to save the realm. These regal figures can exhibit extraordinary power, sometimes becoming formidable allies or challenging adversaries within the game.
Some standout queens from the world of Final Fantasy are renowned for their immense power. These characters become mesmerizing when given the opportunity to showcase their abilities, and they consistently enhance the overall quality of any scene they appear in, whether they align with the heroes or present a challenge as adversaries.
8. Hilda
It Takes Serious Grit To Be The Leader Of A Rebellion

Strength can’t always be measured by physical power; sometimes, it’s about one’s resilience and leadership abilities, qualities that characterize Princess Hilda abundantly in the game “Final Fantasy 2“.
As a valiant gamer, I spearhead the Wild Rose Rebellion against the oppressive Emperor and his dominion, determined to safeguard my realm from his relentless intrusion. My unyielding spirit ultimately manages to dismantle this imperial aggressor (with the help of some trustworthy heroes, naturally), elevating me to the throne as a righteous queen.
7. Sheila
Smacks People With A Frying Pan To Show Dominance

As Yang’s devoted spouse, my heart beats for him in every beat. I’m not just a spectator; I’ve got a fiery spirit that ignites when I wield a humble cooking pan against the invading troops of Baron during their relentless attacks on Fabul.
With a touch of humor, it requires great courage indeed for someone to subdue trained soldiers using only a kitchen tool. Sheila’s strength is evident in this act, and it’s no wonder that a powerful monk like Yang was captivated by her. This demonstrates why she was a fitting queen when Yang took the throne of Fabul in the epilogue of Final Fantasy 4.
6. Rosa Farrell
A White Mage Who Uses Bows And Marries Cecil To Become Queen Of Baron

In the game Final Fantasy 4, there’s a character named Rosa, who, unlike most White Mages, is proficient in combat using a bow from afar to take down enemies. However, it isn’t until she gains the ability Holy that her true battle potential is fully realized.
Out of nowhere, a character previously known for their supportive roles transforms into an unparalleled force in inflicting damage within the game’s scope. As the story unfolds, I found myself cheering as Cecil, once a humble ally, ascends to the throne of Baron, crowning my beloved Rosa as his queen.
5. Garnet Til Alexandros XVII AKA Dagger
A Competent Summoner With Healing Capabilities Who Ascends To The Throne After Her Mother’s Demise

Princess Garnet, who is actually adopted by Queen Brahne, eventually grows disenchanted with her mother’s hunger for power and chooses to leave the castle. She embarks on an extraordinary journey alongside Zidane, employing a variety of powerful summon abilities and demonstrating her formidable magical skills as a White Mage.
Throughout a series of occurrences, Queen Brahne succumbs to Bahamut’s Mega Flare, thereby establishing Garnet as the queen. Yet, it wasn’t until the group defeated Kuja and saved the world that Garnet felt prepared enough to assume this role.
4. Crepera Lucis Caelum
A Queen Of Lucis And A Challenging Boss

The intriguing backstory of Final Fantasy 15 beautifully explores the noble lineage of Lucis. Despite being born a woman, she was considered unsuitable for rulership. To govern effectively without relentless public gaze, she chose to retreat from the spotlight.
In the Royal and Windows Editions of Final Fantasy 15, she becomes an optional boss battle, allowing players to directly witness her immense power. Despite the game’s combat often being considered simple by some, the confrontation with Crepera presents its fair share of challenges as Noctis is tested to his utmost limits against this legendary queen.
3. Ashelia B’nargin Dalmasca AKA Ashe
The Princess Of Dalmascia Saves Her Kingdom And Becomes A Worthy Queen

Although Vaan is officially the main character in Final Fantasy 12, it’s generally acknowledged that Ashe’s individual journey significantly influences the main storyline. With Dalmasca caught between two warring empires, Ashe tirelessly works to safeguard her homeland.
Following a grueling period during which many political secrets are exposed, Ashe ultimately safeguards Dalmascia’s future, earning adoration from her subjects as she establishes herself as an honorable queen who consistently demonstrates her resilience and strength. Depending on the roles assigned to Ashe within the game, she has the potential to become a formidable force and one of the most influential party members.
2. Lenna Charlotte Tycoon
A Warrior Of Light Who Saves The World And Becomes The Queen Of Tycoon

Lenna becomes one of the initial companions who joins Bartz on their journey, following her being displaced due to a meteor strike. The versatile job system in Final Fantasy 5 allows her to evolve into a robust and dependable team member as the story unfolds.
In the course of the game’s exciting journey, it’s uncovered that she is the future ruler of the Tycoon kingdom, a fact solidified following her father’s tragic demise. Along the way, she encounters Faris, who turns out to be none other than her estranged sister, Sarisa. After vanquishing Exdeath together, they return to Tycoon. However, Faris yearns for the sea life of piracy once more and eventually departs from Tycoon, leaving Lenna as the lone monarch to govern her kingdom.
1. Andoria Kaya Tranka Fam Forturio
The Queen Of Concordia Can Command Dragons And Transform Into One, Too

As a gamer, I can’t help but acknowledge that the queen of Concordia from Final Fantasy is undeniably one of the game’s strongest characters, despite her relatively minor role in Type-0 events. If luck would have it and we get our hands on Final Fantasy Awakening, we’d be able to witness directly just how formidable Andoria truly is.
Apart from summoning dragons and controlling them effortlessly, she has the unique ability to morph into one too. This extraordinary talent not only amplifies her power but also allows her to recover health quickly, making her the most powerful queen in all of Final Fantasy by an enormous margin.
