Summary
- Milcery in Tera Raids is easily defeated due to low base stats and random Tera types.
- Arceus with Stellar Tera type and Expert Belt excels in Raid battles, but setup may be longer.
- Pokemon like Iron Hands, Azumarill, Ursaluna, or Serperior are efficient choices for quick Raid victories.
In the game Pokemon Sword and Shield, a character called Milcery is the main focus of an elevated Tera Raid event taking place from February 13th to the 16th in Scarlet and Violet. As Milcery eventually transforms into one of many forms of Alcremie, it’s not likely to present much difficulty for most players, even at a 5-star level of challenge.
Because Milcery’s total base stat is just 270, and its Raid form can have unpredictable Tera types, many players should find it relatively simple to defeat these floating fairies, despite the fact that this isn’t an evolved Pokemon. Inexperienced trainers could still face challenges when confronting what appears to be a straightforward Raid Pokemon. As long as players have the fundamentals for engaging in Raids and possess high-level (100) and well-trained Pokemon, this Raid should not pose significant problems. For more streamlined options to quickly complete the Raids, there are five popular Pokemon that are well-equipped to handle Milcery.
5. Arceus
Always Using STAB

Arceus, being a seldom encountered Pokémon, offers an advantageous trait: it can be any type, making it a valuable, albeit challenging to acquire, pick for handling the dynamic Tera types of Milcery. Furthermore, with the incorporation of the Stellar Tera type, Arceus’ capability to almost consistently have STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) moves has reached an unprecedented level.
With an Expert Belt on, a Powerful Terastallized Arceus can inflict massive damage on any Milcery using Tera Blast during Raids because this move is always super effective. However, since Milcery doesn’t pose much danger, the process of Terastallizing Arceus might take longer than simply overpowering the fight if you’re alone.
4. Iron Hands
Belly Drum’s Boost

Following suit with other Belly Drum users, Iron Hands delivers a potent, physical blow capable of defeating any opposing Pokemon like Milcery. Despite being an exclusive Paradox Pokemon in Violet, those with access to this peculiar device possess a formidable force at their disposal.
Thanks to the Booster Energy item, Iron Hands gains an additional stat bonus on top of Belly Drum and STAB electric or fighting attacks. With moves like Close Combat, Supercell Slam, Wild Charge, Drain Punch, Iron Hands can swiftly conclude a Raid, often within the first turn after using Belly Drum to maximize its power potential.
3. Azumarill
Huge Power Finally Works

Just as I, a hardcore gamer, embody the Iron Hands tactic, Azumarill follows a similar path by leveraging raw power and brute force to defeat Milcery. Unlike the Iron Hands, however, Azumarill excels in dishing out STAB water or Fairy-type damage, which might limit its effectiveness in certain Milcery Raids. Yet, the resistance these types provide for Azumarill could be crucial in dodging potential devastating blows.
Despite Milcery not appearing to pose a significant threat to players due to its type, it’s important to remember that it could still potentially attack. Given that most of Milcery’s moves are fairy type, Azumarill is almost immune to these attacks thanks to being half fairy itself. Furthermore, an Azumarill with the Huge Power and Belly Drum abilities can quickly end even high-level raids with a single hit – provided they can successfully execute both moves, which seems challenging in practice.
2. Ursaluna
The Power Of Guts

In its debut appearance in “Legends: Arceus,” Ursaluna delivers a crushing blow to most other Pokémon, much like a large truck or, for accuracy, a bear. It’s an unbeatable mix of brute force, strategic moves, and exceptional abilities that make it nearly fatal to anything it can attack. Although obtaining an Ursaluna may pose challenges for players without “Legends: Arceus,” the reward is well worth any efforts made to acquire this formidable Pokémon.
Combining the moves Belly Drum and Facade, along with the ability Guts for Pokémon afflicted by a status condition, when used with Ursaluna carrying a Flame Orb, can unleash tremendous damage, regardless of whether it’s an effective move or not. Although this tactic might not be applicable to ghost-type Milcery and could pose challenges with rock and steel types, generally speaking, Ursaluna should quickly overcome the Cream Pokémon.
1. Serperior
The Stellar Snake

A less recognized choice for Raid battles, Serperior possesses a surprising level of strength that excels in the Tera Raid format specifically. This is due to its exceptional ability, Contrary, which counteracts stat-altering moves, and its access to Leaf Storm, a move that boosts its Special Attack each time it’s used. As a result, Serperior can significantly amplify its power just when it’s about to Terastallize, making it even more formidable in battle.
Because Milcery can have various Tera types, employing Serperior with the Stellar Tera type and the move Tera Blast leads to Raids that usually end shortly after a player Terastallizes. Even if Milcery resets the Pokemon’s stat enhancements, the continuous use of Tera Blast gradually increases Serperior’s damage output, thanks to its unique ability Contrary.
