2025 launch of Monster Hunter Wilds attracted countless hunters eager to tackle the freshly created beasts dreamt up by Capcom’s developers. Instead of taking a break, Capcom has been actively releasing new content, such as Title Update 1. The return of iconic monsters, novel equipment, and a time-limited spring event have sparked interest among busy players who wish to obtain the unique event gear in the quickest way feasible.
Catching a monster reduces the amount of time spent on hunting, so hunters should always keep some Tranquilization Bombs ready. Although these bombs can be purchased, it’s more effective to make them yourself by combining Sleep Herbs and Parasitic Fungus (Parashrooms).
Trading With Apar For Sleep Herbs
Earn Sleep Herbs Between Hunts
- Sleep Herbs are one of the two essential ingredients to craft Tranq Bombs.
- In addition to Tranq Bombs, Sleep Herbs can also be used to craft Sleep Ammo and Sleep Coating for ranged weapons.
Hunters usually prefer spending their time on actual hunting rather than examining maps at leisure. Fortunately, having Nata retrieve items from other villages lets hunters collect requested materials passively, assuming they have a desire sensor. Players can acquire sleep herbs by asking Apar in the village of Suja for them.
If you find Sleep Herbs while trading with Apar, they are classified as a 3-star item. This means that you can expect a reliable supply of these items during your hunting sessions.
Trading With Rysher For Parashrooms
Passively Obtain Parashrooms
- Parashrooms are one of two essential ingredients for crafting Tranq Bombs.
- Players can craft Paralysis ammo using Parashrooms and Normal Ammo.
In a Tranquilizing Device (Tranq Bomb), sleep-inducing herbs aren’t the only essential component; hunters must gather an equal amount of Parashrooms as well. Fortunately, the trading system in the game enables players to procure these mushrooms directly from Sild’s marketplace, Rysher.
He consistently gives the player Parashrooms, but not as abundantly as Apar’s Sleep Herbs because they have only two stars compared to his three. Just as with trades with Apar, this method offers a handy means of accumulating resources during downtime from hunting expeditions.
Plundering Parashrooms In Oilwell Basin
A Brief But Necessary Diversion
- The Oilwell Basin only provides one Parashroom gathering point.
- While in the Oilwell Basin, be sure to mine for Fucium Ore for other crafting purposes.
Although the Oilwell Basin has the least number of locations to collect Tranq Bombs, it’s still important to note where players can gather Parashrooms when hunting a Gravios or pursuing a Tempered Ajarakan. In location 12, there is only one spot for gathering Parashrooms.
A more convenient route to reach the destination is by quickly navigating to the Pop-Up Camp in Area 13: Limestone Cavern. After exiting through the tunnel, veer right and proceed northward straight ahead. You’ll find the meeting spot snug against the wall on your right side within the room.
Foraging For Parashrooms In The Ruins of Wyveria
A Dangerous Destination
- While in the Ruins, hunters can gather Wyveria Lanterns for trading purposes.
- Periodically, Zoh Shia will appear as a quest. Be sure to add it as an investigation!
When players are either farming Fulgur Anjanath or waiting for Zoh Shia to appear, they have options for gathering Parashrooms at four distinct locations. Setting up camp in Area 6’s Remnant Grove could be hazardous, as it often attracts wandering monsters.
Lucky for me, it seems like a smart gamble since two out of the four Parashroom spots are quite close by! One is right to the west of the temporary camp, and another one lies to the south. To locate the remaining ones, I’ll need to descend to Area 10 on the next level.
Sleep Herbs Can Be Found In The Iceshard Cliffs
The Most Sleep Herbs In Any Biome
- The Iceshard Cliffs are the only map where a hunter can reliably gather Carbalite Ore, which is necessary for certain armor sets.
- Remember to keep an eye out for Rove while in area 20. He’ll give you a present if you save him.
Besides a thrilling raid boss, the Iceshard cliffs boast the highest concentration of Sleep Herbs among all game maps. Begin at the pop-up camp in Area 15: Upper Corridor, then descend the winding staircase to collect the first Sleep Herb. Proceed directly from the bottom of the stairs to the far end of Area 15 and pick up the herb clinging to the wall there.
As a fan, I’d say: After passing through Region 12, keep northbound and spot the hill on your left as you enter Region 13. Once I’ve collected the pair of Sleeping Plants, I’ll warp to the checkpoint camp in Area 6. Then, I’ll leave the camp and move northeast; the remaining Sleeping Plant will be on the opposite wall.
Wandering The Windward Plains
An Oasis Amid Danger
- The Windward Plains contain multiple fishing spots, many of which are near pop-up camps relevant to the farming route.
- Don’t forget to pluck any windward Aloe while near Area 10.
No matter if it’s a day brightened by the sun or a night lit by thunderstorm, the Windward Plains are teeming with treasures and kaiju. As players gear up for the arduous Rey Dau event quest, they can explore the Windward Plains in search of pieces for a Tranq Bomb scattered across the map. From the temporary camp in Area 13: Oasis, hunters can easily find a Parashroom just southeast of the camp, yet still within the vicinity of the oasis itself.
After that, use fast travel to reach Area 3, then exit towards East which takes you to Area 1. The last Parashroom is located at the intersection of these two areas. Lastly, the only Sleep Herb on the map can be found near the path leading towards The Scarlet Forest in Area 10.
Find Everything In The Scarlet Forest
Mandatory While Hunting Mizutsune
- While gathering Tranq Bomb Materials, remember to gather treasure and Scarlet Amber.
- This is the only map where it rains, meaning it’s easy to proc the Slicked Blade skill on Mizutsune weapons.
In the Crimson Woods, you’ll find all the necessary items for creating Tranquilization Bombs. Beginning at Base Camp, journey towards the temporary camp in Area 6, collecting the initial of six Parashrooms along the way. Proceed northeast through Area 6, and upon entering Area 12, another Parashroom will become visible. The First Sleep herb can be found to the southwest, and moving further to Area 7 will lead you to three more Parashrooms, all close to the temporary camp in Area 8.
Afterward, journey north towards Area 8’s marshes where you’ll find your final Parashroom. Teleport to Area 18 and traverse the tree-top pathway towards the southeast, taking a circular route to the Rathian nest for the last two sleep herbs. This expedition also pairs well with some tempered Mizutsune hunts!
