Battlefield 6
Okay, so I’ve been playing the new Battlefield, and honestly, the devs at EA and Battlefield Studios deserve a relaxing holiday. This game is a huge win for them! It’s a fantastic return to what made Battlefield great, and it’s easily back on top of the FPS world. The campaign really pulled me in, but the multiplayer is where it shines. And the RedSec battle royale mode? Seriously addictive. They really nailed it this time.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers a refreshing change of scenery, taking players to feudal Japan. You’ll play as either Naoe or Yasuke and experience a pivotal time in Japanese history – the Sengoku period. The game delivers the classic Assassin’s Creed experience fans know and love, and it’s expected to be a great value when it releases in late 2025 for those who haven’t already gotten it.
EA FC 26
Okay, so EA FC 26 is basically the yearly football game we all expect. I usually hold off buying it until it goes on sale, and this year, EA seems to be really listening to what players want, which is awesome. The game was received pretty well because of that! Plus, if you’re thinking about getting it as a gift, the price always plummets around Christmas – I’ve seen EA FC 26 at half price since it came out, so it’s a perfect time to snag a copy.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Okay, so I’ve been playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and wow, it’s incredible! It absolutely crushed it at The Game Awards 2025, racking up a massive 12 nominations – including Game of the Year! Everyone’s predicting it’s going to win a ton of awards, and honestly, I get why. It’s a turn-based RPG, but the story is just phenomenal, and the combat and graphics are seriously stunning. If you’re looking for a new game, seriously, you need to pick this one up.
Split Fiction
Split Fiction continues the trend of excellent co-op games from Hazelight Studios, the creators of A Way Out and It Takes Two. Like their previous titles, it’s designed for two players to enjoy together, and a convenient “Friends Pass” means only one person needs to buy the game for both of you to play.
The game is on offer close to Holiday 2025, making it even more of a bargain.
Black Ops 7
Let’s be real, with Battlefield 6 and ARC Raiders coming out, I thought it might be hard for Black Ops 7 to prove why Call of Duty still rules every year. But honestly, I’m not surprised at all by the sales numbers. Activision always makes a ton of money with these games, and Black Ops 7 is no different. They always have deals around Christmas, and with a full package – Campaign, Zombies, Dead Ops, and Multiplayer – it’s a pretty safe bet a lot of us will pick it up.
Cronos: The New Dawn
Critics have compared TopMob’s Cronos to the classic game Dead Space. It’s a scary, action-packed adventure where you battle grotesque monsters with tentacles. The game is incredibly tense and originally offered a lot of gameplay for its price. Now, it’s available at an even more affordable price, making it a fantastic deal.
The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion: Remastered
You’ve probably heard that Bethesda recently released a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a game that’s been highly anticipated for a long time.
