As a seasoned viewer of anime, I must say that this week’s Tower of God has left me utterly spellbound! The intricate plotlines and character development are truly a testament to the creators’ mastery over their craft.

The second season of “Tower of God” resumes with the Workshop Battle arc, commencing on October 6. With no pause, the show dives right in as the Workshop Battle unfolds. Similar to the trials that occur across the Tower’s different levels, this battle initiates with a task that could transform teammates into adversaries. The renowned FUG Slayer Candidate, Jue Viole Grace, attracts numerous Regulars eager to measure their skills against him, including former teammates like Endorsi and Anaak Jahad, as well as Shibisu.

In the narrative, a fresh character emerges, and Viole finds himself deeply entangled in his predicament. Simultaneously, Khun demonstrates clearly why he’s indispensable on any team he joins. Regrettably, while viewers anticipated that this pivotal part of the plot would bring about enhanced visuals in the series, such improvement will likely manifest sporadically, if it appears at all.

Viole’s New Friend

A New Character is Introduced

Tower of God, Season 2, Episode 14: The Workshop Battle Arc Begins

In the final moments of the last installment, Viole observed a youth clothed in a hood fleeing a gang of mechanical men. Caught in an alleyway, he pauses to retrieve his phone, but Viole steps in to help. Upon dissipating the danger, however, this young man rebukes Viole for his intervention, expressing gratitude unwillingly. The pursuers were actually enforcers from a workshop, and their destruction results in even more robust robots appearing on the scene. This youth returned for his phone because he heavily depends on information from a chatbot named EMILE. He guides Viole to an area equipped with a Shinsu inhibitor, as per his request to be called “Traveller”. According to him, one would need a strength equivalent to that of a Princess of Jahad to vanquish the enhanced robots he refers to as “Blue Dogs”.

The Red Carpet Leading Up to the Workshop Battle

Endorsi is Ready to Take on Jue Viole Grace

Tower of God, Season 2, Episode 14: The Workshop Battle Arc Begins

Two days before the start of the Workshop Battle, a prestigious event like a red carpet premiere takes place, where journalists interview several personalities, primarily focusing on Princess Endorsi. When asked about potential opponents, she confidently declares that she will be the one to defeat Jue Viole Grace, causing a roar of approval from Ja Wangnan and Dan, two passionate fans of Endorsi who are unaware of their proximity to her due to their connection with Khun. Meanwhile, Shibisu’s interview is broadcasted on TV, taking over the airwaves to introduce a game that the 1488 Regulars eagerly awaiting the Workshop Battle can play. By winning this game, they could secure one of the 248 boarding passes, giving them the chance to truly participate in the Workshop Battle. Unfortunately, this means that most Regulars who have strived tirelessly just to gain entry won’t even get to witness the start of the event.

A New Game Begins

One Shot Opportunity

Tower of God, Season 2, Episode 14: The Workshop Battle Arc Begins

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share the thrilling details of this unique game: Each Regular is issued a solitary bullet and the opportunity to snatch weapons and ammo from their rivals. The objective? Take down another Regular to secure access to Archimedes. However, if you miss your shot, it’s game over for you. Once the initial bullet is discharged, the guns switch between two modes – light and dark. A light hit propels you into Archimedes, and the first recipient of a mysterious artifact called a Blood Tamara will be bestowed this honor. Moreover, the one who sends the most opponents to Archimedes will be rewarded with a Heavenly White Mirror, an enigmatic prize whose purpose remains a mystery at this time.

Additionally, there exist enchanting fairies named Bongbongs, which bestow upon their captors a precious item and a travel pass. Given the perilous nature of dark shots, many Regulars often choose to fire at their comrades instead. In this instance, Khun deceives Wangnan by pretending to shoot him, thereby drawing attention and allowing him to swipe the ammunition from the approaching individual. With two bullets in hand, Khun gains an edge over other Regulars. Later on, Goseng contacts Khun, informing him that she, Arkraptor, Yihwa, Miseng, and Prince have become separated.

The Cunning Endorsi

“We’re Going To Hunt FUG”

Tower of God, Season 2, Episode 14: The Workshop Battle Arc Begins

In the meantime, Shibisu’s group consisting of Hak and Anaak are on their way to the action location, but their journey is suddenly interrupted when Endorsi arrives with four Regulars, armed and agitated. These individuals are journalists who were upset that the princess, who had promised to confront Viole and FUG, was instead targeting “innocent” people like them instead of the FUG operatives stationed at a nearby hotel. Once they departed, one of the men complimented the princess on her acting skills, as this entire situation was planned by Endorsi to influence Shibisu’s team into focusing on finding FUG while she pursued Viole.

As a die-hard fan, I follow along as EMILE helps pinpoint Violé’s location, leaving FUG teammates clueless about his whereabouts. To make matters more tense, Anaak Jahad keeps a keen eye on us. To top it off, Hak and Shibisu seem to be monitoring our movements too – unaware that Endorsi is out searching for Violé specifically. With FUG, we ponder whether to hold back or push forward without Violé. As the number of remaining participants rapidly decreases, we decide to move out when there are fewer than 100 left in the race.

The Twenty-Fifth Bam

Have Bam and Endorsi Been Reunited?

Tower of God, Season 2, Episode 14: The Workshop Battle Arc Begins

In this scenario, EMILE informs Endorsi that Viole is located in block D2. Upon arriving, they observe Viole assisting Traveller with his equipment setup and getting acquainted. Viole then reveals to him that he’s being pursued by Workshop patrol robots because he’s attempting to rescue the person he adores, hinting at this individual as the anticipated reward for the victor of the Workshop Battle. As Viole discusses this significant other, a brief recollection of Rachel flashes across his mind. However, their dialogue is cut short due to an imposing-looking robot attack. Ready for combat, Viole encounters a surprising arrival – Endorsi Jahad, who falls from the sky in the climactic scene of the episode. This thrilling moment effectively leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the next episode and the possibility of an Anaak encounter in the following one.

Tower of God: Workshop Battle is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
