Train Sim World 5 launches with a brand-new game mode

As a seasoned rail enthusiast who’s spent countless hours traversing virtual tracks around the globe, I must say that Train Sim World 5 has truly piqued my interest! The addition of Conductor Mode and Route Hopping is a game-changer for those of us who enjoy the finer details of train travel.

As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share the exciting news that Dovetail Games has launched Train Sim World 5! This latest version brings a fresh game mode along with numerous other enhancements. For all train aficionados like myself, get ready for new trains and three breathtaking routes: London, Frankfurt, and Los Angeles!

Today, Train Sim World 5 will offer the long-awaited feature known as “Conductor Mode,” a player favorite that’s been asked for quite some time. This mode has now been expanded into a full gameplay option on the three primary routes, having initially been tested in two vintage routes. In this mode, players can perform various conductor tasks such as checking tickets, operating doors, and ensuring aisles are free of bags while the AI handles driving duties. Additionally, Route Hopping allows users with specific routes in their collection to smoothly transition between routes that share a common location, enabling gameplay sessions stretching up to 200 miles across three route Add-ons.

Here are three new city-focused routes have been introduced: London, Los Angeles, and Frankfurt. For the first time, the high-speed, tilting ICE-T of Germany is now available, joining America’s biofuel-powered Metrolink MP36PH-3C. British rail enthusiasts will be thrilled by the addition of the West Coast Main Line, and Deluxe Edition players can experience the innovative, iconic Avanti West Coast Pendolino as it tilts through Wembley, Watford, and down to Milton Keynes.

Starting from now till October 17th, you can download and retain a free introductory package that includes only the Training Center’s practice track route and four trains in Train Sim World 5: Standard Edition. Additionally, if you are a Game Pass player, you have access to the main three routes of Train Sim World 5: Standard Edition as well.

Following Train Sim World 5, Dovetail Games are still hard at work on their newly announced VR project, set to release exclusively on Meta Quest. Additionally, Roblox players can look forward to immersing themselves in Train Sim World Tycoon soon. These two projects were unveiled during the Dovetail Direct livestream event in August.

Matt Peddlesden, the Executive Producer of Train Sim World 5, states: “The Class 390 Pendolino and DB ICE-T, two trains with tilting capabilities, along with our freshly introduced Conductor Mode, offer a completely refreshed gameplay experience in this latest version of Train Sim World. Add to that numerous other fantastic features and improvements, and players will find themselves engaging with exciting new activities and operating some of the most popular trains and routes requested by fans!

Train Sim World 5 is out now for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
