In Heartopia, most shopkeepers stay in the same place, making it easy to learn where to find them and what they offer. However, some people break the pattern, like Doris.
Doris is a special traveling merchant who sells incredibly rare and exclusive items in Heartopia. You can find unique things with her, like hard-to-find recipes, furniture available only during events, and special emotes – things you can’t get anywhere else in the game.
How to Find Doris & Unlock Roll Cake Recipe in Heartopia
Okay, so Doris is a bit tricky to find! She doesn’t have a regular shop location. Instead, she pops up when the weather is just right, and where she appears changes each time. The best way to know if she’s around is to open your in-game watch and check the weather forecast – that’s how I usually find her!
You can find Doris when it’s raining, snowing, during meteor showers, or when there’s a rainbow. Depending on the weather, she’ll be in a different location and offer different items for sale in Heartopia.
Where to Find Doris During Rain and Snowfall
If it’s raining or snowing, go to the Art Street district in town. You’ll find Doris and her stall there, no matter how bad the weather is.
Don’t confuse a snowy day with an actual snowfall event. Doris only appears during active snowfall.
During rain and snow, Doris sells:
- The Original Roll Cake Recipe
- Colored Sugar (used to create Roll Cake variants)
- Umbrellas (exclusive designs like Floral or Rainbow)
- Postcards
Some players have spotted Doris appearing during Meteor Showers, which are special, limited-time events. She’s only available for a few hours when they happen, and you can typically find her close to where meteors land. Meteors most often fall on Onsen Mountain, especially in open areas or near the beach. We’ll add more information and a list of what she sells to this guide as soon as we find her during a Meteor Shower.
Where to Find Doris During a Rainbow
When the rain stops, a rainbow sometimes appears. If one does, Doris moves from her usual spot on Art Street to the base of the rainbow. You’ll often find her near Onsen Mountain or exploring various areas of the Forest when a rainbow is visible.
