Blood Blockade Battlefront is created by Yasuhiro Nightrow, both in writing and illustration. Originally, he introduced this story as a one-shot in Jump Square magazine back in 2008, featuring a compact group of characters and a unique twist to the plot. Previously, Dark Horse Comics published ten installments of Blood Blockade Battlefront from 2011 to 2018. The animated adaptation of Blood Blockade Battlefront wasn’t broadcasted until April 2015, despite being announced in May 2014. Studio Bones was in charge of creating this anime series. The first season comprised 12 episodes, and the second season had a similar number.
