As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed numerous roster changes and team shake-ups over the years, I can’t help but feel a tinge of familiarity when TSM decides to reevaluate their Counter-Strike 2 roster. It seems like every year brings a new wave of changes, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep track.
TSM has shared plans to either temporarily bench or release its Danish Counter-Strike team before the 2025 season begins. On their social media platform, they expressed a desire to assess changes in their roster prior to the commencement of the next year’s competitive events.
For this purpose, Valde, Niko, and Coach Rejin have been dismissed, while Sirah, Acor, and Zyphon are currently on hold until further notice. However, the players aren’t idle – Acor himself has already made it known on social media that he intends to join a different team.
‘It Is What It Is’
Speaking on social media about the sudden decision, Frederik ‘acoR’ Gyldstrand wrote:
When I initially became part of this team, the roster we had in mind wasn’t quite what materialized, and that oddly unsettled the beginning for me.
We had a decent period i nthe start, we managed to make the RMR with no time to practice.
Following Altekz’s benching, our progress with sirah seemed to stall for quite some time. However, towards the end, it felt like we were making progress again. Nonetheless, such is life.
I am looking for a new team.
Just a few days past, TSM disbanded their all-female CS2 team, TSM Impact. It’s important to note, though, that this situation is distinct because TSM plans to continue participating in CS2 with a male team. As for the specific makeup of this new squad when the 2025 season begins, those details remain uncertain at the moment.
On social media, TSM simply wrote:
Today, we bid farewell to Valde, Niko, and our CS Team Head Coach, Rejin. We express our heartfelt gratitude for their tireless efforts over the past year, and extend our warmest wishes for their future endeavors.
As a dedicated fan, I’ve decided to sit Sirah aCoR and Zyphon on the sidelines temporarily. We’re taking this time to carefully consider our team’s future strategies before diving into the 2025 season.
