Twitch Has Banned FaZe Ronaldo

Twitch Has Banned FaZe Ronaldo

Key Takeaways

  • FaZe Ronaldo was banned from Twitch on October 19.
  • The reasons for the ban, his fifth to date and third in 2024, are unclear.
  • Twitch labeled FaZe Ronaldo’s channel suspension as a “temporary” measure.

As a gamer who has been following FaZe Clan for quite some time now, I can’t help but feel a mix of disappointment and amusement at the latest turn of events involving FaZe Ronaldo, or StableRonaldo as he’s known on Twitch. This is his third ban in just seven months – it feels like we’re playing a game of “Twitch Ban Bingo” with him!

Twitch has suspended the streaming account of Rani “Ronaldo” Mach, better known as StableRonaldo from FaZe Clan, marking his fifth ban on the platform so far.

In 2018, StableRonaldo started streaming Fortnite on Twitch and quickly became well-known for his many sessions. Not only is he a talented player, but his lively personality and humor also drew in a large audience. At the age of 19, he joined FaZe Clan in June 2022. Since then, he has primarily focused on content creation rather than competitive Fortnite play.

On Saturday, October 19th, FaZe Ronaldo encountered a significant setback in his streaming career when Twitch suspended his account. He shared the news on Twitter with a poignant message, “I believe it’s come to an end, guys, I love you all.” However, it remains unclear if this ban is permanent as his channel displays a generic message stating that it’s temporarily unavailable. Unlike permanent bans, which often use the term “currently” instead of “temporarily unavailable,” as seen on channels like Dr Disrespect’s old one.

This Is FaZe Ronaldo’s 3rd Twitch Ban in 7 Months

It’s not clear why FaZe Ronaldo received his latest ban, but during a recent stream, he was playing Fortnite. He didn’t offer any insight into what might have triggered the suspension, and Twitch typically avoids discussing individual account penalties. What is certain is that Ronaldo seems to be having a run of misconduct, as this is his third ban since March 2024. His last channel suspension prior to now was in late June, when Twitch banned him for live-streaming himself driving recklessly.

21-year-old Twitch user hasn’t had any bans last longer than three days, and this current one might end soon too, despite FaZe Ronaldo’s ominous tweet implying otherwise. The streamer often plays tricks on his online audience, as he did when he declared retirement on October 7th but resumed streaming shortly after.

On October 19 (ET afternoon hours), some of FaZe Ronaldo’s 1.3 million Twitter followers have been advocating for the removal of his Twitch ban. This is the second challenge faced by his content creation endeavors since September, following an event where StableRonaldo and multiple other FaZe Clan members were swatted during a subathon. Thankfully, no one was harmed in that occurrence.
