Two More PlayStation Live Service Games Have Been Cancelled, Including God of War

As a dedicated fan, I’m disheartened to share that Sony has unfortunately scrapped two more PlayStation live service games – one at Bend Studio and another at Bluepoint Games. The details emerged in a recent report, and it turns out that the live-service God of War game, which was being developed by Bluepoint, is no longer moving forward.

The report highlighted that a fresh evaluation was instrumental in scrapping the undeclared game releases mentioned, and subsequently, Sony’s PlayStation division plans to carry on fostering the creation of both single-player and multiplayer video games.

Never To Be Revealed

According to an article by Jason Schreier on Bloomberg, it emerged that development of two ongoing PlayStation games was unexpectedly halted. However, neither studio responsible for these projects is expected to shut down.

On social platforms, Schreier revealed that Bluepoint’s project would have been a God of War game featuring a live service model. Details about Bend Studio’s game are scarce, but around a year ago, they were recruiting developers for a AAA live-service game with a military sci-fi ambiance.

Back in December, I found myself in a rather intriguing situation as some images of a game that was unfortunately scrapped by Bend Studio started circulating online. These images seemed to have originated from a Google Drive and were quickly hit with DMCA notices from PlayStation. This suggests that the authenticity of these leaks might indeed be on point.
