Two Stealth Classics Are Free on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store regularly gives away free games, and it’s become a tradition for gamers to build up a huge library of titles they intend to play someday. Each week, you get at least one new game added to the collection, often something quite good, joining the dozens of others you’re planning to get to… eventually.

Even though there’s a lot to play already, you won’t want to miss out on these free games! This week is great for fans of stealth action, as two highly-rated modern stealth games are available to download until January 22nd.

The Styx Titles Have Sneaked Up

Timing is everything, and Cyanide Studio understands that perfectly. They’ve just released a new demo and started taking pre-orders for Styx: Blades of Greed, and to celebrate, they’re making the first two Styx games available for free on the Epic Games Store.

You can now get both Styx: Master of Shadows from 2014 – praised by HardcoreGamer as a top-tier stealth game – and the deluxe edition of its 2017 follow-up, Styx: Shards of Darkness.

The Styx games let you play as a mischievous goblin who enjoys stealing and killing. It’s a far cry from the heroic stealth games like Assassin’s Creed or Metal Gear, but that’s exactly what makes Styx so unique – it’s delightfully wicked and doesn’t shy away from being a bit crude.

Shards of Darkness lets you tackle challenges in many different ways thanks to its large, open world and the wide range of abilities and items you can use.

This is a fantastic way to get ready for the February launch of Styx: Blades of Greed, or, if you prefer a more sophisticated spy, May’s release of 007: First Light.

To get a free game from the Epic Games Store, first sign up for an account. Then, open the Epic Games Launcher and find the “Free Games” section. Look for games with a “FREE NOW” label on their picture to claim them.
