Ubisoft Cancels Press Previews of Assassin’s Creed Shadows

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment upon hearing about Ubisoft’s cancellation of Assassin’s Creed Shadows press previews and their withdrawal from the Tokyo Game Show. It seems like these “various circumstances” are becoming a recurring theme in the gaming industry lately, doesn’t it?

This afternoon, Ubisoft pulled out from participating in the Tokyo Game Show because of certain reasons, and it’s been reported by Insider Gaming that Ubisoft has also scrapped the press previews for Assassin’s Creed Shadow.

Based on several reports, it’s been planned that the Assassin’s Creed Shadows preview events will occur in the upcoming week. The date when the embargo on those previews is lifted will be revealed at that time.

Currently, it’s planned for release on November 12, 2024 with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. But, the latest updates hint that there could be a possible postponement of the game.

TopMob contacted Ubisoft seeking a response regarding the cancellations of their previews, however, Ubisoft has yet to respond. Regarding the cancellation of the Tokyo Game Show, Ubisoft made an announcement earlier today through a statement.

I’m sorry to say, but due to several reasons, we’ve chosen to withdraw from our online presence at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 that was set to begin at 3:00 PM on September 26th.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience, but we had to give you short notice about the broadcast. Our deepest apologies go out to those who were eagerly waiting for it.

The company announced that their “ongoing promotion” will carry on, even though the scheduled broadcast has been cancelled.
