Ubisoft Cancels Press Previews of Assassin’s Creed Shadows

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that Ubisoft’s sudden cancellations have left me scratching my head more often than not these days. The cancellation of Assassin’s Creed Shadows press previews, following the withdrawal from Tokyo Game Show, has got me wondering if they’ve got some secret time-traveling mechanic in their latest game that I haven’t discovered yet!

Earlier today, Ubisoft decided not to attend the Tokyo Game Show because of some unspecified reasons, and it’s been reported that they have also cancelled their press previews for Assassin’s Creed: Shadow.

Based on multiple reports, it has been planned that the Assassin’s Creed Shadows press previews will occur in the coming week. The date when the preview embargo is lifted will be revealed at that time.

As of now, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is planned for release on November 12, 2024. But given the latest updates, there’s a possibility that the game could be postponed.

Initially, TopMob attempted to get a response from Ubisoft concerning the cancellations of their previews, however, Ubisoft has yet to respond. Regarding the cancellation of the Tokyo Game Show, Ubisoft made an announcement earlier today in a statement about the event.

It’s with apologies that I must share some unfortunate news: We’ve chosen to withdraw from our online presence at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, initially set to begin at 3:00 PM on September 26th, due to a combination of unforeseen circumstances.

I’m sorry we didn’t give you more time to prepare, but please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused to those eagerly awaiting the broadcast.

The company announced that their “ongoing promotion” will still take place, even though the scheduled broadcast has been cancelled.
