Ubisoft has shared news about the progress in combating cheats in Rainbow Six Siege. In a post on their social media platforms, they mentioned that it’s becoming increasingly challenging for cheaters and harmful players who aim to disrupt the enjoyable experience of the tactical first-person shooter game.
Most of the changes are live now and are being witnessed first-hand by streamers and pro players.
Getting Stricter
According to the latest announcement by Ubisoft, they’re implementing significant modifications to the anti-cheat system in Rainbow Six Siege. Specifically, these adjustments focus on three main areas.
Botting: Permanent Ban on First Offence
We’ve taken your suggestions seriously and are making significant changes to our player punishment policies regarding botting. From now on, a first-time offense of botting will result in a permanent ban, as opposed to the previous policy of a 15-day ban followed by a permanent ban on the second offense. This tougher approach is made possible by our enhanced detection system that significantly reduces false positives.
Cheater Match Cancellation and Live Kick
Currently, if a player is caught cheating according to our system’s rules, they will be immediately disconnected from their current game, and the game will automatically end.

Apparently, Rainbow6Game doesn’t play around when it comes to cheaters. It swiftly boots them out and immediately ends the game. No one loses any ELO points, and a rollback occurs for everyone who played with the cheater that season. This unexpected move has me incredibly thrilled!
