Sources familiar with Ubisoft’s development plans say the company is creating a new online shooter game. Early looks at concept art and a work-in-progress screenshot have also surfaced.
For the past 40 years, Ubisoft has created many shooting games, including popular series like Tom Clancy and Far Cry. However, Rainbow Six Siege is their only major hit in the competitive multiplayer shooter scene. With other companies like PlayStation/Bungie and EA also entering this market, a recent leak suggests Ubisoft is planning its own entry. Now, details are emerging about what that game might be, and it appears to be a science fiction shooter set in space.

A new multiplayer first-person shooter from Ubisoft is in development, according to Twitter/X leaker Shiny. The game, built with Unreal Engine 5, is set in a science fiction world and will feature large-scale competitive multiplayer with crossplay, allowing players on different platforms to play together.
Shortly after, user 6leaks backed up Shiny’s report by sharing screenshots of the game, called Project Scout. These images, shown above, reveal what looks like a loading screen with early concept art and an in-game screenshot featuring work-in-progress assets and the game’s user interface. You can also spot one of the characters in the bottom left corner, along with intriguing interface elements like a compass and a ‘crew level’ indicator.
Just a heads-up: Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced Project Scout or a new multiplayer game, so don’t take this information as confirmed. We’ve contacted Ubisoft for clarification and will share any updates we receive. Even so, the idea seems promising, and if it’s real, it’ll be fascinating to see how the game actually plays.
