With rumors of a Black Flag remake gaining traction, Ubisoft Music is now re-releasing the complete soundtrack from the original Assassin’s Creed Black Flag.
I’m so excited! Ubisoft has been adding the original game’s music to their platforms. Right now, there are 18 full soundtracks available on Ubisoft Music, and they’re also putting more tracks into playlists on their YouTube channels – though sometimes they hide them, which is a little weird!
The news has sparked a lot of online discussion, with many believing Ubisoft is preparing to reveal the long-awaited remake of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, currently known as Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
According to a report from TopMob, a remake of Black Flag, currently known as Obsidian, has been in the works for a while and is expected to launch before the end of March 2026.
Release Date Speculation
Here’s where it gets complicated: we’ve learned Black Flag’s marketing campaign was planned to begin in January, leading to a March release. While the timing seems to fit, we also came across some promotional content that never actually launched.
We previously saw information suggesting Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake was planned to release on January 16th, with marketing starting in December. Since no marketing has happened yet, some fans now think the game might be unexpectedly released without prior announcement – a ‘shadow drop’.
We’ve had trouble determining if any changes were made recently because of the recent security issues at our company. However, the Prince of Persia website appears to have been updated on the backend – as noted in a recent post on X – which might indicate a new release is coming soon.
According to early reports, marketing for the Black Flag Remake was planned to begin in January, following the launch of the Prince of Persia Remakes. Things seem to be progressing as expected, though this information hasn’t been officially confirmed as of now.
I’m really excited about both the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake and the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake! I’m starting to wonder when they’ll actually come out, though.
