Ubisoft explained that the recent posting of the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag soundtrack on their YouTube channel, Ubisoft Music, happened because of a technical problem with some of their videos.
On January 14, 2026, Ubisoft posted 18 songs from the Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag soundtrack to their YouTube channel. This quickly got fans excited and led to rumors that a remake of the 2013 game, currently known as Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, might be announced soon.
Ubisoft explained in a post on their YouTube music channel that the recent re-uploads of their songs were caused by technical problems with some of their older videos.

Where Things Stand With Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake
News about a remake of the game first surfaced in January 2024. TopMob has since confirmed the remake, internally known as Obsidian, is still expected to launch before April. Initially, sources indicated marketing would begin this month, with a release planned for March. You can find more details about the remake’s progress here: [link].
Ubisoft is currently developing a remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. You can find the newest updates about the game here.
