Ubisoft’s Financials Are Soaring Successfully in Latest Report

Ubisoft recently released its first-half financial report for the fiscal year 2026, which was delayed slightly. The report shows the company is performing well, with results exceeding expectations in recent months. Ubisoft saw growth across all areas of its business, including player spending and sales of older games.

The results were better than expected, especially considering the recent halt in trading and delay of the financial update, which led many to anticipate a negative report.

Ubisoft is Actually Doing Really Well

The financial report was pretty glowing for Ubisoft, and it was laced with positivity.

Ubisoft’s sales for the first half of the fiscal year increased by 20%, reaching €772 million. Digital sales were a major driver of this growth, increasing by 30%. A particularly bright spot was revenue from ongoing player spending, which jumped by 52% during the same period.

In a statement, Ubisoft confirmed:

Stronger partnerships than anticipated fueled our success, proving the appeal and strength of our content offerings. Live television and animated series also made significant contributions to this positive performance.

Okay, so looking at the games we already had – not counting any collaborations – things were pretty solid and about what I expected. But it wasn’t all consistent; some titles did really well, while others were a bit of a mixed bag.

Assassin’s Creed had a surprisingly successful year, showing a clear upward trend. This was likely due to Assassin’s Creed Shadows being one of the strongest entries in the series for several years, excluding Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.

Ubisoft had 34 million players active each month, and a total of 88 million unique players in the first half of the year.

Tencent’s recent investment in Vantage Studios is moving forward smoothly, with all necessary steps completed. The deal is expected to be finalized within the next few days.
