A recent leak hints that upcoming mini-expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket may feature Ultra Beasts as its theme, following six months of introducing various cards through events and expansion packs.

Between the main releases, small sets known as Pokemon TCG Pocket minisets have been launched, offering a limited number of cards. The initial one was called Mythical Island, themed around mythical Pokemon like Celebi and Mew, and it brought 86 new cards into play in December 2024. The second miniset, Triumphant Light, focused on Arceus, appeared in February of this year, and included 96 fresh cards. The latest drop is Shiny Revelry, which debuted in March with 111 new cards, introducing the first shiny Pokemon. Rumors suggest that the next set will highlight another popular category of pocket monsters.

According to recent rumors spread by Centro Leaks, it appears that the upcoming mini-set for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) could center around Ultra Beasts. The leak hints at a release date of May 29, making it approximately a month after the launch of the Celestial Guardians expansion on April 30. However, the leak does not provide any further details about the number of cards in the mini-set, the potential rarity of the Ultra Beasts, or the possibility of introducing a new game mechanic.

Rumor Says That Pokemon TCG Pocket May Get an Ultra Beasts-Themed Miniset

In simpler terms, Ultra Beasts are a collection of 11 mysterious creatures from dimensions beyond our own that made their debut with the launch of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon video games. Throughout these games, your character is assigned the mission to locate all the discovered Ultra Beasts in the Alola region, with assistance from Wicke (Aether Foundation) and Looker (International Police). These Ultra Beasts also appear in the Pokemon animated series, while physical versions can be obtained as cards. The initial set of these cards were issued in 2017 as part of the Crimson Invasion expansion, offering unique interactions with specific moves, skills, and trainer cards.

Currently, the data released by Centro Leaks is considered speculation and should be treated with care, as it’s subject to change until we get official confirmation from deNA or further leaks. In the meantime, there are 239 cards available with the launch of the Celestial Guardians set. Out of these, 155 can be acquired by opening booster packs, including the first Supporter cards that offer an immersive experience, while 84 are secret cards.
